Rep Power: 18 ![]() | What's your favorite gimmick match? I'd have to say the regular steel cage match-ups. It contained the perfect element of "gimmick" and actual wrestling as well. Typically there's a lot of psychology involved and the drama is fantastic. Royal Rumble/Battle Royals are always great too. It's always cool to see wrestlers who aren't normally in the ring together in the ring together. I know a lot of people will say TLC matches but I disagree. They always seem way too spotty and just generally too goofy. They are prized on the stunt, not on the match or the outcome. |

Two men enter and are supposedly trapped in there and you have to admit that the H.I.T.C first few matches were pretty memorable. Second is the steel cage, just like Miakal stated [quote:post_uid0]It contained the perfect element of "gimmick" and actual wrestling as well. I liked it because of the way it went, you could get the title but still not win it all if you couldn't get back out of it. Also, it had the random order to it to make you wonder who is coming out next. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I'm not really a fan of gimmick matches. I prefer straight wrestling myself. If you have two great wrestlers, you won't need a gimmick to keep things interesting. In some cases, a gimmick would just get in the way! I suppose the best gimmick match I have seen would be: [b:post_uid0]Vader vs. Sting - Superbrawl 1993 Strap Match[/b:post_uid0] They use the strap effectively, but don't let it get in the way of a great wrestling match. : |

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | This kind of match is a rarity, but if it's pulled off right, I've got to go with the submission match. A collaboration of brilliant ring psychology, well paced action and "losing pride" by tapping is a great combination. Benoit vs Angle at Backlash 2001 was an all time classic, one of my favourite matches of all time. |
