My opinion there was no better way he could have handled it going into a hostile environment like that and still hitting the crowd with a little bit of truth.

He said he was wrong and he was sorry it happened but it also HAPPENED SIX YEARS AGO!!. And right or wrong he was doing his job so maybe from now on or atleast until Bret Hart himself returns to the ring to do an angle with Michaels relating to 1997 in Montreal, they will just let it be.

I loved the segment though, especially the part where HBK said "...then why do you live in Florida", I swear you could have heard a pin drop in the arena right after that comment.[img:post_uid0]http://www.knowyournews.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif[/img:post_uid0]

I'm hoping there are plans to bring Bret Hart back for a proper farewell at least. To have his career end like it did was just wrong. He deserves a hell of a lot better than that. Even though he took things way too seriously (by not wanting to drop the belt in Canada) I think Vince owes him a proper sendoff. Bret would've done it long ago too but he's afraid he'll be called a hypocrite. I would say to him don't worry about what people say just do what you have to do for yourself and your fans.

That was awesome, however, when Jericho went into some nonsensical rant about how Canada wasn't worth wrestling in because of the economy, but then later wrestled....

WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!?!?!?!?

Jericho looked like a hack in there with good ol' HBK.

I didn't mean his looks were bad, I meant his mic skills were subpar. He had all the emotion, but he had trouble making a point. I blame the writers, just because it was obvious that for some reason they wanted Jericho to be the heel despite Canadians fans loving him. So what do they do? They have him suddenly decide, after defending Canada for about 10 minutes, that he didn't like wrestling in Canada, that he preferred wrestling in "Holl-ly-wood". He blamed the economy (what?) for not wanting to wrestle a match, he rambled about how he would be doing it for free. This was after Shawn challenged him right there and then. He then told Shawn that he would fight him in two weeks, which is a first, usually its next week, because they would be in Hollywood. He then started a Hollywood chant and left. About a half hour later he is WRESTLING IN CANADA! Why didn't he just tell Shawn that he already had a match? The whole segment was going great and then just spiraled into nonsense, thus that is why Jericho looked weak.

I see...that is pretty gay. And it does sort of seem the "economy" in Canada doesn't seem to really want wrestling anymore so if that's what he meant, there was some truth to his statement.

watching that pythetic attempt to keep jericho heel was more painful

and for what to make the fans cheer for mark jindrik later on

also on a side note; isnt it funny how test is always the turning point from a good raw to a bad one?

I agree, that was the highlight (No pun intended) of Raw.

The best promo in a long time right up until Jericho's crappy Hatred for Canada speech. I thought it was played perfectly up until then. Shawn was realistic, but he played a bit to the crowd.

Crowd: "You screwed Bret, you screwed Bret..."

Shawn: "And your point would be what?"

Crowd: "BOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"

That helped me reach a point.

Would HBK be better as a heel? Yeah, Raw is crammed with them (HHH/Jericho/Soon to be Kane) but maybe if he moved to Smackdown, which would cause a huge swapping war or something, to shake up the roster trade. Plus, it would give the HBK character a new lease of life. Shawn just seems to flow on the mic when the crowd's booing him down.

Perhaps Jericho as a face, but playing a similar character would be good. Then HBK could stay on Raw as a heel.

I dunno.

i agree w/ ya 3d... hbk is better as a heel. Too bad HHH has gotten so stale. Maybe we could go back to last summer to when DX "reunited" and have Shawn sweet chin music HHH instead. Imagine Evolution with Shawn, Flair, Orton, and then either Nash or Jericho could have been the fourth? I guess everything is clearer in retrospect.

Shawn on Smackdown as the top heel? Could totally work. They NEED it! Shawn vs Brock! WOW. I think people see Shawn as a shell of his former self because his mic skills as a face are kind of weak. He needs the sarcasm, the cockiness...

I wonder if WWE wanted this all along but Shawn didn't think Jesus would like it.....
