| How do you rate RVD? When RVD first came to WWE I was very critical of him. I thought he was merely a gimmick wrestler from ECW (like so many others) and didn't deserve near the amount of attention he was getting. I remember my famous quote was (which other people used), "If you want to see an acrobat then go to the circus, if you want to watch a wrestler then watch Chris Benoit" I thought RVD was one of the rare good things in the Invasion angle, however. His work with Stone Cold and the question of where his allegiance stood was excellent. He didn't have promos, but he had mic work which was pretty good. His matches during this time was excellent as well. You really got the sense that the man could've became something, that he could've taken out Stone Cold and become the Champion (which he really should have done). Since then, however, his career has really dropped. He went from doing Main Events to doing absolutely nothing. He went from beating awesome talent to having troubles with anyone who comes out there. It's sad that WWE didn't capitalize on him when they had the chance. They were on the verge of something big and they really let it go. I still think RVD is a pretty interesting cat. He isn't a Chris Benoit that's for sure, but then again either is Hulk Hogan or The Rock...so whats the difference? RVD is capable of spicing up a match and getting people to take note of it, and I think that's the most important thing. I give RVD an 8. | ||||||||||||||

| I give him a 4. I'd give him worse but he could impress me if he changed or made an effort to try something different then he is use to doing. You get the feeling he was one of the guys playing video games in the back during the show? I am betting so. | ||||||||||||||

| I gave him an 8. He's one of my faves. Actually 1 of 3 on RAW. The rest of the RAw roster - blows. Not a big SmackDown fan, but I'd have to say Angle, Benoit, Cena and The Guerreros are my faves on that show. | |||||||||||||||

| I also gave him an 8. He may not be the most technically sound wrestler, but the name of the game is Entertainment, he definitely entertains me. One knock on him that I didnt get to address in the "RVD sucks" thread is that in his Raw matches, his ring work is incredibly formulaic (as other people have mentioned), but he seems to expand his repertoire on his PPV matches, or when he has a "hardcore" match (like the ladder match against Christian, and the match against Tommy Dreamer where they retired the hardcore belt, which was one of the best matches i've seen live). So, it seems like he only steps it up in "big" matches. I wish he could be a little more consistent I was a big ECW fan, and to me, anyone who was that over in ECW (watch a couple of old ECW PPV's if you dont believe me) has a special place in my heart : : | |||||||||||||||

| I wish I still marked for him now. I was a big Tazz mark until he came to the WWE and I saw how small he really was.His gimmick seemed pretty funny after that. | ||||||||||||||

Let's hug it out bitch.
| I gave him a 6. He is definetly a guy playing video games in the back. Suggestions to make him better: Cut that hair. Same with Matt Hardy. That look was dead 10 years ago. Get rid of those ridiculous outfits. He looks like he made them in art class. ::baa:: | |

| Personally I thought RVD did a great job last night and pulled out a few new spots for Ida. Christian was dead weight for some reason and RVD owned him and took the match clean. One thing I do agree w/Ida is on RVD's "i'm in pain" moments after hitting rolling thunder or the frogsplash - let it go already, we know it's a high impact move, but unless the guy you splashed gets his knees up, you should be fine. | ||||||||||||||
