SCSA: Stay or go?

What is it? Should he stay and wrestle or should he just hang up the boots?

The answer may be obvious, I'm not sure.

I think it depends on what role he has. If he is going to be used as an upper-tier guy who puts over talent (ie, The Undertaker) then fine, so be it...let him stay for as long as he wants to.

However, if his role is to stay on top and keep holding onto the World Title....or, even, putting over people but in a half-ass roundabout way then I think it's really not worth it AT ALL.

WWE needs to start putting over younger guys and start working for a new future. If Austin isn't used correctly it's just going to be Hulk Hogan 2004.

I agree Ida.. there is still money to be made with Austin when it comes to big cards like Mania.

Although its counterproductive to have him just going around stunnering everyone when he could be putting them over. He has had his day, his legend is solidified. Putting over younger talent wouldnt tarnsh his legacy one bit because he cant wrestle any more... he has nothing to lose.

Stone Cold on Commentary wouldnt be a bad idea. But He would only be as good as the guy he is announcing with. I dont think he could play off JR or the King at the moment because they have seriously deteriorated in recent years.

Who would be a good colleague for Austin? I think Bishcoff would be a good choice actually. Sure we wont get much play by play of the matches, but it could lead to some funny exchanges

For a play-by-play man WWE would have to hire and train somebody to do it - Coach/Michael Cole are terrible. Why not have Vince return to do announcing? Could you imagine Vince and Austin doing commentary together? Then again, the on-air history between them kinda eliminates any chance of that happening.

I'd say Foley would be an excellent choice, since he could call a match straight and play the role of babyface announcers while Austin makes fun of everybody and puts the heels over. Let's not forget the original Austin was a heel and the Invasion Austin was a hysterical heel.

Austin as a color man, I dunno. I think he would be very one dimensional. Nor do I think he would want to sit there for 2 hrs every week and talk. It's not something his character would do. Now maybe if he drank the whole show and was half in the bag by the end that might be entertaining lol.
