What do you guys imagine WWE to be in the future?
Obviously it's hard to guess who'll stay in, who'll stay out, and who'll be new, but who do you think will dominate the scene in the future?
This is how I imagine it:
I see Cena holding strong at the main event. I don't imagine Edge is going to do wrestling much longer; he's accomplished everything he's been meaning to accomplish and he has nagging injuries. Orton will become Raw's top heel, and we'll probably have seen a few feuds between him and Cena by that point. I think he'll mature into a very solid wrestler/personality, and by that time he'll reach the potential that he's been wasting.
HHH will probably still be around but not as active. Obviously he'll be a huge corporate personality and will probably carry almost as much weight as McMahon by that point.
HBK will probably be retired and living at home. I don't imagine that he'd be a very good corporate personality, what with his clique history. He might be converted into a booker and trainer to utilize his knowledge but I don't see him getting very high up.
I see Booker retiring as well. Getting older, has the same problem with injuries. Big Show as well. I see both of them however being personalities backstage and being very active in booking and whatnot.
Vince will be alive and kicking, and still running the show. By that point I could see him sharing a lot more responsibility with Stephanie though and I see her becoming a much more prominent figure, perhaps even replacing him as the lead personality.
Batista and Rey are sort of enigmas to me. Rey's really been run down by injuries and I suspect he'd want to settle down by then. Batista's just very old and with the shape he's in now in the ring, I don't see him doing this until then. I predict a bad injury that will put him out for good.
Now, as for the current new guys. I see many of them becoming main event players, and WWE has plenty of potential in that category.
CM Punk for one I see being pushed onto Raw and having held the belt at least once by his 5th year. He's got the most potential of any guy I've seen jump on the stage right off the bat. He's got no attitude or behavioral problems to speak of, or vices to wear him down. He's going to be the face of the WWE and can very well become a legend in his time.
Daivari I also see as being a dark horse to become a main event player. He really reminds me a lot like Christian, and I see him being used properly by WWE with that in mind. He's got great skills in and out of the ring and he just KNOWS how to draw heat.
More predictions as they come along...
I forgot to mention Undertaker. I think he'll be semi-retired by that point, if not completely out. He should remain as a presence, however, popping up time to time to take part in storylines.
