ECW preview - all wrong! - updated

Fireworks on the 4th of July
By Louie Dee
July 4, 2006

This Tuesday night, ECW on Sci Fi makes its first visit to ECW's old stomping grounds in Philadelphia. ECW will be live from the Wachovia Center in south Philadelphia, and it will be make or break for the current number one ECW Extremist.

In the main event, Rob Van Dam will defend both the ECW and WWE Championships against Edge in an Extreme Rules Match. RVD was able to defeat the Rated-R Superstar on ECW turf at Vengeance, but that doesn't mean it will be a walk in the park for the "Whole Dam Show."

Heading into the match, both champion and challenger shared their thoughts with ECW.com, so you can take a look at what RVD and Edge had to say.

Of course, that won't be the only big bang on Independence Day. In the first few weeks of ECW on Sci Fi, we've seen Sandman dish out his brand of special punishment several times, Sabu showcase his extreme talents, and of course, Kelly's Expose. Just about anything can and will happen on ECW on Sci Fi, so be sure to tune in this Tuesday night at 10/9 CT to catch the fireworks.

I'm not gonna insult your intelligence telling you what's up with that.

I had a sig, once.

They could do Title vs. Title if they wanted to take both belts off RVD. However they'll probably ome up with something new for tonight. Sucks for the fans though who were expecting RVD vs. Edge for both belts.

Wasn't the taping last night at the super show???
If it was before RAW it must have been really awkward or something, or maybe it is tonight and I just like making myself look like an idiot.

Remember the Spyda, dude ..

No Smackdown was taped before RAW aired live last night. I think it'd be a bit much to ask a crowd to sit through 5 hours of television taping.

ECW will be live from ECW Arena tonight on Sci Fi.

Heyman to address ECW World Heavyweight Championship
July 4, 2006

Last night on RAW, Edge captured the WWE Championship by defeating Rob Van Dam in a Triple Threat Match. As a result of last night’s show, the state of tonight’s edition of ECW on Sci Fi is up in the air.

ECW.com has learned that ECW representative Paul Heyman will open the show by addressing the status of the ECW World Heavyweight Championship, which as of this moment is still held by Rob Van Dam.

Also, ECW.com can confirm that vivacious exhibitionist Kelly is promising to provide a special salute to America on this 4th of July.
