Are you behind it? Vol 2 (yes, 2): Kofi Kingston getting pushed
After almost winning the 7 on 7 for the RAW side at Bragging Rights before Show cost the team, and then going on to foil Legacy's plans to interfere in the Ironman and help Orton retain the title, Kofi appears to be getting a big push. On RAW last night, he defeated Chris Jericho cleanly with Trouble in Paradise before being attacked by Randy Orton, setting up a feud. He then went on to destroy the car Rhodes and Dibiase gave him as a present. Clearly a big feud like this with the top heel on the brand constitutes a big push, and Kofi Kingston may well be a World Title contender sooner rather than later.
With pretty much everybody calling for WWE to actually push young talent recently, the question is, is Kofi Kingston somebody you want to see getting a big push, or would you have preferred somebody else? Do you approve of this move?

Why not? He can go pretty decetly in the ring. He's not particularly entertaining to me, but he doesn't bore me either. And his bit with Orton's car last night was the best promo I've possibly seen from Kofi, so losing the accent definitely seems like a good move. I'm behind it.

Yeah plus we couldn't really judge him before without a real feud. He hasn't had many chances to show character and draw interest, but now he's being given the chance to show what he can do, and I think that is something most people should be behind. I used to be a "hater", but I think he is somebody who works very well in the underdog role, and as a side effect, Orton being in a feud where he isn't the underdog is ftw.

Yeah, I like it. WWE, and specifically Raw, need new main eventers. Kofi's very over, since he dropped the Jamaican crap we've seen that he's somewhat charismatic, and he's not too shabby in the ring. Dude will get a lot of flak if he does win the title somewhere down the road due to the "high-flyers can't be champ" stigma, but I'm for someone getting pushed on Raw. They have to start small, no pun intended.

Is Kofi really a high flyer though? He wrestles at a fast pace and shows a lot of agility in his offence, but I think of a high flyer as somebody who actually has a lot of top rope moves, which Kofi doesn't.

Of course that was the best promo he has had so far, he hasn't talked alot. I would probably guess that in his short time with the company Sheamus has said more than Kofi has.
I support it because he is young (unlike MVP), a face (unlike Cody Rhodes) and a likeable one at that (I don't like JTG too much)

People tend to generalize that people who wrestle in the style that he does, which is fast paced, uptempo, and panders to the crowd, all fall under that same umbrella. Personally, I don't think so, but you know how people categorize.

I am 100% behind it. I have liked (not always loved) Kofi since his ECW run. He is fun in the ring, charismatic, flashy, and decent enough in all aspects where he really has no huge flaws. He is improving and the fans love him. Add in the major positives of the feud:
Someone new main eventing/being pushed
Kofi can look better in defeat due to not being a top guy before it
Orton can get a clean win helping him seem more credible
and I'm sure there's more. Either way, I'm definitely for it.

Yes. I was so proud of what they had done recently with Kofi and Randy's car. It's good to see a time where there is not a smile on Kofi's face. It got annoying to watch. Good stuff though, glad to see that WWE is trying to take Kofi to another level. Lets just hope it works.
