In the case that it did happen, HBK would have to turn.
Other than a one month span against Hogan, HBK has been a good guy since his return in 2002. He is a brilliant heel, and turning on Triple H would shock and appall a lot of the younger newer viewers. As mentioned before, due to HBK returning to his heel routes after such a long run as a face, it would also provide a hook for long time "classic" wrestling fans to tune in.
I personally think heel HBK would be a pretty bad idea, mainly due to the way he's been booked the last couple of years. When he hasn't been "the guy you're supposed to feel sorry for" as the victim babyface, he's been cracking lame family friendly jokes in DX and dressing up as a cook getting tata tots thrown at him by a little girl. Some would argue that all this would just provide ammunition for a heel turn, but personally I don't think he could be a credible heel at this stage.
Easy. He cuts a promos saying he left after Taker/HBK at Mania because to him that was the last shred of the legendary classic HBK that he felt he had in him. He saw old legends who became parodies of themselves in their old age, and he felt he was slowly becoming that. So he gave one last show stopping performance that would help erase any progression he made into that from the fans mind and have him leave on a high note. He found other things to fill the void, etc.
Triple H convinced him to come back selfishly because he wanted Legacy out of the way so that he could win the WWE Championship rom Orton, and in turn almost ruined his legacy. He had Triple H breathing in his ear that he thought it'd be a good idea to act like a juvenile prick when he's in his mid 40s just to sell stupid crappy looking t-shirts. He elaborates that he hadn't realized this at the time, but Triple H's prerogative was slowly sucking the old HBK out of him.
HBK describes that when he realized this he became very angry and resentful. When he watched the tapes and realized that with the help of HHH he had become the type of parody he once feared, something hit him. The old HBK, the show stopper, the man who battled Taker in a Hell In A Cell for nearly 60 minutes. The man who doesn't take shit from anybody. The last shred of him that HBK thought was dead and buried, well it came back. And it wants retribution against HHH for attempting to kill it once and for all.

1 thing i always wanted was for hhh to create a new dx with a new dynamic. in 03 there was a perfect thing with nash when hhh could have made him his partner. i think they fit better. but now its too late so i guess i want them to keep it going since wwe does not really have any other great drawpower left tbh
