I'll admit I haven't been watching RAW all that much lately. I find it's become incredibly boring and lacking any good characters. The idea that Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr. are suddenly top of the line talent blows my mind.
When I have been tuning in to episodes I feel like there is an astonishingly low number of wrestlers to choose from. It's the same guys over and over and over again.
Last night took the cake. Again, I'll admit that I wasn't watching that much (what with playoff baseball and Monday Night Football on). I was just doing the occasional check, but I was shocked at how little action there was.
I've read the breakdown provided in these forums and it illustrates what I am talking about.
15 minutes of talk to start, then a 3 and a half minute match joined in progress. On top of that, did anyone actually care about the outcome of this match? Why would you?
You have a typical garbage Divas match. A match with The Miz (the hardened veteran that he is) against Marty Janetti!!! (are you serious?) Ted Dibiase against Randy Orton....in a match that doesn't happen and you have a main event........that once again doesn't happen! What the Hell??!!
The only match was HHH vs. John Cena, which looked good, but doesn't really cut it in a 2 hour wrestling show.
At least Hornswoggle made an appearance, so I guess it wasn't all bad (I'm rolling my eyes right now).
What a disgrace. I'm done with Raw for a while. I know I'm just one guy, but I also know that I can't be the only one who feels that way about this once great show.....can I?

Nah, loads of people hate it these days.
I barely watch it. Like always, I flip back and forth between MNF and RAW, but nowadays I find myself watching MNF much more, only checking on RAW to see how shitty it is. Right now I think they're just trying to be the worst possible show for smarks to prove that it doesn't amtter how bad of a "wrestling" show it is, they'll still be popular as hell to all the little kiddies. I nearly gagged when they did the Hornswoggle/Cole Technical Difficulties bit, which was preceded by an abomination of a segment in itself. If there's another show on at the time along with Monday Night Football or if it's the Ravens playing then chances are I won't watch RAW at all.
It's just... shit. No other way to put it. It's waaaaaaaaaaaaay worse than TNA. At least with TNA I can have a laugh. RAW is just Vince McMahon going Nah-nah-nah-nanana at people who want to see a good wrestling show.

RAW is worse than IMPACT but TNA is worse because the PPVs are of such diabolical quality imo.
But yeah I stopped watching RAW because all it did was disappoint me every week.
However, I fail to see how Cody and Ted are suddenly "top line talent"? They have been booked well and got a decent push, but it's not like they are main eventers...

Re: What The Hell Is Going On?
Santino was about the only thing left that I was enjoying on Raw, but now he just plays second fiddle in a short sketch to whatever crap of a guest host they have for the week. And Hornswoggle is everywhere for no good reason.

I actually really enjoyed RAW last night. It had great PPV build for once.
Lol @ the idea of Cody/Ted being pushed as bad...
I don't know if it's bad....it's just a sign of the times. They're both boring as hell and generic wrestlers. Both are clean cut, black trunk wearing guys. Neither one of them has any charisma at all. I understand that they're Randy Orton disciples, but he's about as boring as they get. No doubt they've got talent....but they're boring.
They need their own characters. They need some time being mid card guys who have feuds and battles. Who cares if Ted DiBiase suddenly turns face? Is he then supposed to be a likeable guy because he fights Randy Orton? Why? He's still boring as hell.
My point is that if these are some of the main guys that I'm supposed to find entertaining then this show is heading in a bad direction.
I've been watching a repeat of Raw (because I didn't really watch it last night) for the last 20-25 minutes and all I've seen is the last 2 minutes or so of HHH vs. Cena, a horrible Miz vs. Janetty match, an equally horrible Jillian vs. Mileena (sp?) match, followed by a ridiculous dancing segment that included Snoop beating up Chavo. I've seen a ridiculous amount of commercials.....so, you can LoL all you want, but this shit is awful.
HHH/Cena was a great 20 minute match. The first half of the show was great and the end was really well done.
Also Cody/Ted don't have charisma? wut?
The first half of the show was great? How so? What happened?
There was one good match. 20 minutes of good wrestling on a two hour show just doesn't cut it in my opinion.
The end was so/so. Vickie Guerrero is entertaining enough. How many times a show does HHH need to have a mic? If we can have a HHH vs. Cena, why can't we have Michaels vs. Jherico? It was another non match.
You throw out superlatives like "great" and "really well done". That's like calling a McDonalds double cheeseburger "goumet" and "prepared by trained chefs".
What's charismatic about Cody or Ted? There's nothing different, or funny, or frightening, or abnormal or enlightening. What's good about either one?
Way to convince a guy Ken... To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
I think Rhodes charisma speaks for itself when you see him inducting his father into the Hall Of Fame. I remember watching that and saying to my then flatmate that if he could wrestle he'd be a star. In his current character he's not being allowed the space to grow or show any personality very often, but when he does his charisma is obvious.
Ted's charisma is debatable as I only have his WWE work to go off of, but he keeps me interested.
But then, I rarely watch Raw these days.
