View Poll Results: MORRISON MEGA PUSH: YOU BEHIND IT?
I'm really growing tired of this recent Morrison hate. He's just as untalented/talented as he was as a heel. He had flashy moves as a heel, he has them as a face. He couldn't get his own heat as a heel. He gets some face pops now as a face. I've always been a critic of Morrison, but aren't we the same group of people who always bitches about the WWE using the same main eventers week in and week out? Morrison is at least talented enough to the point where he's not an embarrassment in the ring. As long as the push isn't over night and they push him naturally up rung after rung of the WWE ladder, I'm fine with him being a main eventer. I could think of countless worst SD main event prospects than John Morrison vs CM Punk on PPV.
Such as? I doubt we will see R-Truth headlining PPVs anytime soon and Smackdown has a strong roster with a lot of wrestlers better than Morrison.
Even though I have been an advocate in them, I have to agree constant Morrison debates are getting tired.

Looking at the current SD roster, I only see the following as capable of putting on better matches in the main event (Assuming you put Punk or Taker against them for example):
Chris Jericho - Obviously has other things going on
Finlay - At least as a heel he was
Rey Mysterio
Matt Hardy - That's a HUGE maybe. Even then, he's clearly isn't in the position for a push.
So there you go, excluding the two main guys in the world title picture and you're left with 2 realistic choices to be pushed over Morrison since Finlay and Hardy are very unlikely. I'd never say that Morrison is great, but he's capable of being good in matches.

Re: Are You Behind It? vol 1: The Morrison Mega Push
Finlay and Hardy are DEFINATELY better than Morrison. I don't see how there is even any doubt there. Ziggler is better. JTG is better and could have a good match with Punk on TV or a C-PPV. Mike Knox vs Taker could also be done.
I will say Batista is a better wrestler than John Morrison and is a better match-up against Punk and Taker than he would be.

Re: Are You Behind It? vol 1: The Morrison Mega Push
He needs to brush up on his mic skills but other than that there's no problem. He's probably the most entertainment/athletic in ring performer currently in the WWE. Rarely if ever has a bad match. Future world champ for sure.
Re: Are You Behind It? vol 1: The Morrison Mega Push
I'm behind it, only so much if they develop his character a bit further. As a face, he seems like he's just there, nothing stands out about him that makes me care about this character. While I'm not a huge Jeff Hardy fan, at least he was put in situations that made people care about him (ie Drug references, brother issues, perenial underdog, hyping the "enigma" aspect of him).
They had a good chance to get some character development going when they split him and the Miz up, but did nothing as far as a feud goes.
He lacks direction, and despite whatever mega push the WWE have in store for Morrison, it will fail if they can't get fans to care about him other than "he's cute, he's got flashy moves."
Edit: I apologize for echoing a lot of things that were already said in this post. I'm at work, and I didn't have a chance to read everything everybody else already wrote. That said I agree with what most of y'all have already said.
