As great as that segment was, minus the whole "husky" thing, I hated how Miz just walked away at the end. Do heels in WWE ever get to look like anything besides cowards?

Ok, that was pretty great until the hilarious "Stand up!" part. Can't fault Morrison there though he was with a hot crowd and with one of the three best mic workers in the company.

Jesus christ, some of you lot really need to lower your standards.

Morrison has proven he can go in the ring, and while his mic work ain't main event level yet, it's not terrible by any means, and he's still got enough charisma to make up for it.

So yes, I'm all for the "mega push".

I hate when the WWE pushes a guy and tells us that we should like him. People got on board with a heel Cena, they loved him, so they turned him face and gave him the push of the century and havent looked back. It was a good business decision, whether or not you like the character. With Morrison.......there is no character development and reason to like this guy except for the fact that guys wish they had his body and he does some acrobatic shit in the ring.

Don't get me wrong. I really enjoy John Morrison matches, but I really think they should have let that character simmer a bit longer. I really hated how they ended the Miz and Morrison tag team. Miz goes to Raw, punks out Morrison and that what.....makes Morrison a face by default? Stupid. They should have rode out the Miz Morrison combo for at least another year and really built them up as strong individuals while remaining the best tag team in the business.

They could have spent the final 6 months slowly.....I mean really slowly making Miz more dasterdly and Morrison more of the good guy, but subtle. Then eventually when they do split you actually care for the characters. Rather than this force it down your throat mentality they keep feeding us.

So all in all, yeah I like that Morrison is getting a push, but I think it would have gone so much further and more believable had they let his character develop more. Because right now he is a guy with no catchphrase, a weak finishing move and while he is in amazing shape, he looks a bit puny in the ring with the bigger dudes, something Punk can pull off where I think Morrison fails a bit.

So consider me on the offical fence as well. I like the push, but I think its misdirected.

So because people have different opinions to yours, they must have high standards? I could turn that around and tell you to stop accepting mediocrity, but that would be disrespectful.

He hasn't proven he can "go" in the ring from my point of view, because I never find his matches entertaining and think his flaws are all too obvious every time he steps in the ring.

Morrison has charisma? He has a good look and gimmick but not charisma...

I'm really growing tired of this recent Morrison hate. He's just as untalented/talented as he was as a heel. He had flashy moves as a heel, he has them as a face. He couldn't get his own heat as a heel. He gets some face pops now as a face. I've always been a critic of Morrison, but aren't we the same group of people who always bitches about the WWE using the same main eventers week in and week out? Morrison is at least talented enough to the point where he's not an embarrassment in the ring. As long as the push isn't over night and they push him naturally up rung after rung of the WWE ladder, I'm fine with him being a main eventer. I could think of countless worst SD main event prospects than John Morrison vs CM Punk on PPV.

I apologise, but I'm reading people saying the dude is not a good wrestler. He may not be everyone's cup of tea, but you could at least accept that he's been on a good roll this year. The Great Khali is not a good wrestler. Rosa Mendez is not a good wrestler. John Morrison is a good wrestler.

I believe we've bumped into each other on his in ring ability before, so we'll just have to agree to disagree on that one.

To be fair his character worked a lot better as a heel. As a face, his shortcomings are more obvious, particularly his mic work, because he isn't really likeable in any way, whereas he was quite unlikeable as a heel. I'm not saying he is terrible in the ring, but he's certainly far from great. CM Punk seems to get good matches out of him, but that's about it.

@ Postman: I don't think he is a good wrestler, because to be a good wrestler you have to be more than a spotmachine with no knowledge of psychology who struggles to fill time in longer matches.

Yeah, because he had Mercury to get the heat. He had Melina to get the heat. He had the Miz to get the heat. It's honestly isn't any different.

Not saying he was a great heel who got a lot of heat on his own, I'm just saying that to me personally, his lack of charisma wasn't nearly as obvious when he was playing the cocky stuck-up heel who takes nothing seriously.
