Is a really underrated match. I just rewatched it and I really liked it. I'd even say that it's a three to four star match in any other circumstances. No, there wasnt a ton of flips and shit. But they both worked a style that I really enjoy. I really think that the match would be viewed in a better light if it wouldnt have been put on last.

Neither one really entertains me because they're too slow. I don't mind a slow pace, but they just seem to waste time out there which makes it nearly unbearable for me. Had the crowd been more into it, it probably would of been more entertaining. However, it's their own fault for not getting the crowd into it. Despite being right after Taker vs Michaels and having not as well booking leading into the show as the main event, the triple threat match managed to at least be entertaining. The other World title match wasn't.

They were getting the crowd involved a little towards the end. But the crowd was very burnt out by that time. They had to follow a 6 man ladder match, an extreme rules match, a WHC match and one of the greatest matches of all time. So, yeah.....the crowd didnt have much energy to cheer for every move like they did the other matches.
I'd even fight that the match wasnt borining. There was very little rest spots actually.

It was a total abortion of a match that proved HHH really shouldn't be main eventing at that level any more. It may have been a big pay off match but there was zero need for Hunter to control so much of the match and make it so painsteakingly obvious Orton had no chance. The action was dull, boring and uninspired, nothing particular memorable or anything that seperates it from a bog standard RAW main event, which for the main event of the biggest show of the year, is inexcusable. HHH barely sold for Orton and both men worked a tedious pace. The botched finish with the ref having to visibly and audiably tell HHH they only had five minutes left leading to HHH stopping his beatdown and spontaneously pedigree'ing Orton for the win in total anti-climactic fashion was laugh-out-loud levels of bad.
It was fucking dire and a contender for WMOTY.

I don't buy that. If there was one match that the crowd should of been burnt out for it was the triple threat. Yet they managed to get some reaction from the fans.

To be fair I would put that down to Cena being in it. Like him or not, he guarantees some sort of reaction unlike Triple H.

Atleast they weren't walking out like they were in 2002 when they first tried to push Hunter as the top babyface. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
