Re: How would you feel if Triple H main evented Wrestlemania again?
It really depends on the situation. If it's with Orton or Cena again, I'll be pretty damn pissed about it. But if he turns on Michaels, or just has a good fued with someone knew like Punk or Swagger(just thinking off the top of my head) I'll be happy with it. I'd really MUCH prefer him as a heel tbh. It seems like he hasn't been a heel in forever, which sucks because he's SO good as a heel(top 5 in WWE history IMO) and I've never really liked him as a face.
Hm..just throwing this out there..what about putting over someone like Morrison in the main event?

Would you become fed up with it (though im sure most are already) or would you not mind as long as the feud is well built and there is a good pay off. I personally would like to seen new stars in the main event of Wrestlemania, they really need to start pushing new guys. His feud with Orton while not great was really good leading into Wrestlemania (apart from that Austin/Pillman rip off in 1996, where Triple H raids Orton's house) but ultimately the match was terrible
Triple H should have been out of Wrestlemania main events quite a while ago. The Batista feud really seemed like the passing of the torch, yet now, 4 fucking years later, Triple H is a bigger deal than Batista again. Why is Triple H STILL the man? I didn't mind him returning to a Wrestlemania main event the following year to put Cena over, but that should definitely have been his last Mania title match, and he shouldn't ever have had a brand built around him after that. In case you haven't guessed, yes I'm bored of HHH in main events and have been for a while. Let's look at HHH's matches in the Manias this decade:
Wrestlemania 16: Triple H def The Rock, The Big Show and Mick Foley Wrestlemania 17: The Undertaker def Triple H Wrestlemania 18: Triple H def Chris Jericho Wrestlemania 19: Triple H def Booker T Wrestlemania 20: Chris Benoit def Triple H and Shawn Michaels Wrestlemania 21: Batista def Triple H
Wrestlemania 22: John Cena def Triple H
Wrestlemania 23: Injured Wrestlemania 24: Randy Orton def Triple H and John Cena Wrestlemania 25: Triple H def Randy Orton
Purple = Non-Title Match Cyan = World Title match but technically not THE main event Blue = Main Event
So we can clearly see how dominant Triple H has been at Wrestlemania this decade. Yes he put people over, particularly between 20 and 22, but the very fact that he is still in Wrestlemania main events after a decade at the top is pretty ridiculous to me, especially considering he really isn't the huge draw he likes to think he is, and his matches almost always result in a dead crowd. Wrestling has moved on, but Triple H refuses to give up the spotlight and this is to the detriment of the company. It is all part of his masterplan to be remembered as one of the best ever. If he's rammed down our throats for long enough, people will start to believe it right?
It wouldn't surprise me at all if he was in the main event this year. I'd actually be surprised if he wasn't in all honesty. The guy is consistently overpushed and I don't expect it to end anytime soon. I would expect a far better match and a more beneficial one to WWE if Triple H wasn't in the main event, but he will be. It's no coincidence that 23 had two great title matches (with HHH injured) and I believe got the best buyrate of recent Manias.
Apologies if I'm repeating anybody. I've yet to read the thread in detail.

Re: How would you feel if Triple H main evented Wrestlemania again?
If Triple H main events, it won't be surprising and it will continue to be meaningless for him to hog the spotlight in "The Grandest Stage of The All." He's done enough spotlight stealing for this decade and he'll continue to prevent anyone from stealing his next WrestleMania PPVs, as long he's married to the boss's daughter and doesn't suffer major injuries that can put him out for months.

Re: How would you feel if Triple H main evented Wrestlemania again?
I think Triple H is desperate to have a Wrestlemania moment, which is why he puts himself in the main event. Most wrestlers have had a Wrestlemania moment, Austin with the Submission Match, Bret winning in MSG, Shawn in many moments, Savage with Elizabeth, and countless Hogan ones. I mean one of Triple H's most memorable moments is being squashed by Warrior. His title win at Wrestlemania 18 was overshadowed by Hogan and Rock, and he should not have had that in the main event which is the same mistake he made at Wrestlemania 25.

Hunter's Wrestlemania moment was being the first heel in Wrestlemania history to leave the show as World Champion.

It's not particularly memorable though is it?
He clearly thinks he can be remembered as one of the greats and produce great moments simply by being in the main event every year. StoneCold91 mentioned Shawn Michaels and his numerous Wrestlemania moments, but look how many of them wern't in title matches. You have his match with Jericho, his match with Flair, his match with Taker, the match with Angle etc. You don't need to be in the main event every year to produce a Mania moment. It must also be said that Michaels lost a couple of those matches. Triple H would never get pinned clean.

Uh...
He cleanly got beat at 20 (Submission, but still), 22 (Once again, submission though), but at WM 21, he cleanly got pinned by the Batista Bomb.
I'm all for hating on someone, but at least have the facts straight.

Re: How would you feel if Triple H main evented Wrestlemania again?
I really wouldn't give a shit in all honesty. I'd be a bit peeved but I never really look forward to the RAW matches on a PPV anyway. Bet I would be much more pissed if Orton/Cena main evented, but hopefully they'll stick to their word and this Iron Man will be their last debacle we'll have to endure.
