I was just wondering if I am in the minority but i'm watching my wwe on demand and watching wcw back in the day and when they used to bring the the great luchadors and actually gave a smaller wrestler a real chance of being a star, and the crusierweight matches were some of my favorite back in the day. I am just wondring if people think it is even a possibility that vince would bring back the cruiserweight title on smackdown?
ugh....
there are already too many titles in the E right now
bringing in yet another one would further damage any creditability if any at all that the belts currently have now

You're saying the Cruiserweight division gave them a chance to be a star? ... To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
More like the opposite. All it did was restrict them.

i disagree because the cruserweights are totally independent of any other title plus a wrestler like evan bourne, someone really special would already have a title reign or two. He would of tried to push him but for some reason it always stalls, I think if he had a title or two you could move him up. PLu if vince would give thm a 20 min slot you would be guranteed a great wrestling match every week. Besides that one argument of to many titles which is a valid one i just don't see a down side to it. Plus the main eventers wouldn't have to be on tv as much and it wouldn't be getting overloaded as bad with them.
Yes but without that crusier weight division we would not have today a rey mysterio, a chris jericho, never would of even seen deal malenko, to lesser extent eddie guerro. They would of never of gotten exposure in the wcw and vince would of never gave them a chance the size they were but the fact they built amazing reputations in wcw they were given a chance to shine and never looked back.

I always said the CW title should return to ECW, and they should have almost all the CW's on that roster. With ECW only having one title, the CW title would be a pretty big deal on the brand.
I use to love X Division style high flying wrestling when I was younger, watching the Terror Dome or whatever it was called at one of the past TNA PPVs made me cringe. I'd be completely against a Light Heavyweight Title unless it were featuring more technical Malenko style guys. If they were to bring back such a belt I'd love to see it made into an Upper Midcard type thing. In the era of UFC selling exciting competition among smaller athletes and putting it over as "Yeah they can't beat the heavyweights due to size, but they are more skilled and therefore more entertaining'." would work.
For that concept to really fly, you'd need HBK to be the first champion...
