What was John Cena's best performance?
As I'm typing this, I'm watching RVD vs John Cena at ECW One Night Stand 2006! John Cena put on what i think is one of his best performances in that match. Basically silenced the hostile ECW crowd. Despite the fans "hating" Cena, they had to have gained at least some respect for John after that match. He gained my respect. But i think Cena's best match was at Unforgiven 2006 in the TLC Match against Edge. Amazing match and Cena poured his heart out in that fight. What are your guys' thoughts?

He was pretty great in both the Umaga Last Man Standing and the RAW match with HBK. They are arguably his two greatest matches, and in my opinion possibly the two best Cena performances also. He was amazing in his role against Umaga, as the underdog face overcoming the monster, with his selling and bumping off the charts. In the HBK match he proved he could go that length of time and put on something special, and he really was the better man in the match.

I totally agree with that statement. Their WM 23 match was very good also. They work really well together.
During both Great Khali matches. I actually like The Great Khali and I think he does what he's supposed to very well, that said he is awful.
At the time Cena was still gettiing a lot of stick, although not as much as he was. During both PPV matches he carried a limited opponent to two good matches. They're not great by any stretch of the imagination. But they're solid matches, with a brilliant performance from Cena that turned out to be more than worthy of a main event spot.
I think Cena performed better in those matches because he had to. Obviously he has to be able to hang with the wrestlers who are considered to be the better workers, but he had to do almost all the work in the Khali matches.
I agree with what was said above. I believe Unforgiven 2006 with Edge and John Cena battling it out was quite possibly John Cena's greatest performance.
I would have to agree with Veritas, the Edge and Cena match was great. Its gonna be put in one of those John Cena DVDs
It has, lol.
Agree with you on the Cena/Edge match, though. It was one of those matches that really told the story of "These two guys hate each other, and will stop at nothing to show it."
