I thought it pretty much had to be him moving over myself, when I heard Teddy Long saying he had a huge announcement on Friday or whatever. And Vince would just have to wait and see what it is. It kinda tied in.
Seems like a decent switch, as long as Batista doesn't start hogging the limelight and ruining SD!.

I personally approve of the move. Punk/Batista would be good, Taker/Batista would be better than any rehash feud they could do on RAW aside from Cena I guess, and then all the young talent will hopefully lead to some fresh matches.

Don't count on it. Batista wants his rematch you know. And we've already seen Taker vs Batista. Not again plz.

Is Batista/Cena 1-1 at the moment? or 1-0? I'm not even sure as I don't follow too closely anymore.
Either way, that's something I never thought of til I read what Ken said there. Not finishing that feud of is a big decision. Maybe WWE are actually going to pace it out? That'd be nice to see down the line again at a big event.

Cena and Batista have only faced once and Batista won. It was at Summerslam last year in the match where Cena got injured. I'm actually disappointed that we might not see further matches between them.

I'm sure we will see more. Batista isn't retiring for at least a year or two I'd say.
Taker/Batista was awesome the first time so I wouldn't mind a brief renewal of the feud and Punk/Batista was pretty good the first time. Add in heel Punk and it'll be even better. Then you have guys like Morrison, Dolph, Rey, Knox, etc. and the next six months or so leading to Mania will be pretty good.

Obviously a logical move considering the star power Smackdown is lacking since Jeff's departure, and how Batista really wasn't needed on RAW with Cena, Orton, Triple H and Michaels already on the brand. However, in terms of the quality of Smackdown, I'm not happy about this. I don't hate Batista, but he really isn't that great and I think he'll be detrimental to the quality of the "wrestling" show. He is pretty broken down at this stage and doesn't tend to put much effort in outside of the biggest matches. Can't think of any notable Batista TV match...
