The big rumor that has been going around is that he's gonna return at the Royal Rumble! That's gonna set up a feud with Jericho that will probably continue through Wrestlemania XXVI.

Well, still so far he hasn't revealed his return date. Possibly saving up for a big return, but as far as I know, press hasn't revealed any time period of epectation about how long he'll be out.
It usually does take about a year to heal from an Achilles tear.

Jericho needs to namedrop him again soon. Obviously they did the whole segment with Edge being interviewed and Jericho interrupting it and calling him weak, fragile, not in his league etc, but they need to do something else soon to remind people that him and Edge were a team and Jericho mocks Edge as a weak link. Hell, I'd forgotten all about the Jericho/Edge team for a while until I saw this thread.

I have a feeling that Edge will return at the Royal Rumble in some capacity either as a "shock" participant or to screw over Jericho in the Rumble and return as a face. Then they can have an amazing feud leading up to WM where they have the match of their lives.

Where did you read that? Him missing Mania would be pretty bad.
If that happened, they'd definitely do Jericho/Taker though, which wouldn't be bad. The only problem with that is that I wouldn't believe Jericho could do it. Taker/Cena on the other hand....
Definitely want an E+C reunion next summer when both are faces. That could headline Summerslam. E+C vs JeriShow!~
