While a decent idea, it's just not the most logic DVD release. With there being roughly 52 episodes per year at about an hour and a half a piece (Obviously, commercials cut out) that's 78 hours for these DVD's per year (From 1998 on). Even the PPV Anthology's weren't that long. At the same time, I don't see much point in yearly 2-3 disc sets. For the most part, the best matches of every year has been released. Right now, I think the right move is to release some quality matches on random DVD sets. In the past few years, the WWE has released some good well known and rare gems throughout the years.
Right now, the biggest and best matches not yet released in America on DVD from Raw or Smackdown are currently not possibly to be released due to the stance on Chris Benoit. Until they change that, things like yearly Best Of's or a Best of Chris Jericho isn't worth it.
