I was looking at the roster on raw and trying to find another heel that could legit main event. There is Orton and Big Show (who's doing the tag thing). Other than that I do not see anyone who has had the build up. Some may say Jack Swagger, but honestly he is mid card along with Carlito.
This brings another problem for WWE. When Orton loses title, who will face the next champ? Have a face vs face fued, but they don't last.
Could HBK HHH split with one becoming heel? Or could Batista come back and turn on HHH and Cena??????
I'd love Batista to come back and be heel, because as a face they really don't book him well at all. He's far too one dimensional, and while he would make a very good badass face, that's not the way he's used. As a heel he could actually be entertaining.
Triple H going heel wouldn't be a bad idea by any means, but I don't want him turning heel in the same tired, predictable manner by turning on Shawn.... again.
Shawn turning on Triple H would just be laughable as there is no way he could be a credible heel after the way he's been booked over the last couple of years.
Swagger would be good in future, but he needs to actually be pushed, and it's unlikely that he will be on RAW. Everybody seems to get lost in the shuffle so I imagine if neither Triple H nor Batista turn heel, the next big heel on RAW will come from Smackdown. That's the brand that actually builds stars.
With Triple H, Cena and Batista all on RAW, there is more than enough starpower. One of those guys could easily turn heel and wouldn't really be missed. Cena is pretty much out of the question as he is the biggest draw, and I can''t really see Triple H turning for a while. Batista would be my pick as it would be fresh to see him as a main event heel.

HBK needs a heel push so fucking bad. He has been face for seven straight years. He needs to be a heel one more than in his career. He can be creditable as a heel if it is done right. He could disrespect the fans making them turn on him. He can team with heels and attack the top faces. There are many things that could be done.

HBK as a heel would be laughable. Firstly its hard for a guy like him, with legendary status, to get heat. Secondly, he can't be credible as a heel because he has been booked as the face victim you're supposed to feel sorry for for so long, as well as being booked in cringeworthy DX comedy skits. I wouldn't buy it... at all.
Batista is the obvious choice.

It worked for Ric Flair. He had legend status and was a great heel. HBK could play the game that he did not need the fans to feel sorry for him. He did not need their support.

Because he was a legendary heel back in the day? Do yourself a favor and watch some NWA Flair.
With HBK, what's not to like? He has no qualities about him that would make him seem like a credible heel. He's as nice as the dickens in real life, a very devout Christian, a family man, and he hasn't cursed in I don't know how long. Conversely, you have Batista, who hates wrestling in real life, and maybe he could shoot (or work it into an angle) about how the business owes him everything, and he doesn't give two shits what anyone says.

People hated HBK when he was a heel. He was booed by the fans. Bring back that HBK and add a little more to it. He retired as a heel. HBK can be used similar to CM Punk. HBK's heel character can be the type of christian who forces his religion on everyone, consistently judge people, and be a hypocrite for his heel tactics in the ring.

I wouldn't be able to take him seriously as a heel, and a lot of fans wouldn't either. The way he's been booked, including the JBL angle, makes it hard for one to see how he could all of a sudden go heel. If Randy Freakin' Orton can't get a lot of heat, then how do you expect HBK to do it?
