I know there's a lot of blokes on here who have been waiting for Harry's debut, my question is how do you think he should be handled when he first debuts?
I'm not going to act like I know all that much abou him, but what do you do.. I suppose you have to reconize the fact of who he's related to, but how do you go about doing it.. Do you think they'll make him unique in his own way or wil he be British Bulldog 2006?
Also, who would you stick him with 1st a crafty veteran? Another up and comer? Or do you let him get his feet wet and destroy some jobbers..
It's a real shame that Benoit isn't around because he would be the ideal opponent for Smith to kick-off with. Harry's a different prospect than most wrestlers WWE commonly start off with. He is already well rounded and polished and will deliver PPV-standard matches. However now WWE will have to de-programme that from him so that he doesn't use up his longevity in his first 2 months on free TV. I think a strong opening match that goes 12-15 minutes (something along the line of Cena's debut against Angle or Orlando Jordan's against Cena) against a bona-fide top star (Randy Orton?) then a No.1 contender (IC) fued (Carlito/Haas) bulding towards a run at Shelton. That could play nicely over 3 months and give everyone an idea of if Harry has the charisma to get over with WWE fans.
Ok, so he's a polished wrestler but we know that being a solid in-ring prospect doesn't always guarantee success in the WWE. I think charisma will have a lot to do with it, but I'd rather not see him stuck with a gimmick..
I think you just let him be a blue chip prospect.. It doesn't sound very interesting but hopefully if he's stuck with the right opponents, he'll be able to get over...
Randy Orton? I don't know maybe it's a little early for him to go down that road but whenever I see a promising young prospect I like to get him in there with Orton. There's just something about Orton that seems to bring the best out of all the babyfaces around him.
I'd agree though, a match with Orton would be nice.. I don't like starting off guys with huge winnign streaks, it's too played out. I think you do a good solid match, have the fans behind him, but ultimately Orton comes through. Don't let it end with the RKO though. Have Smith reverse the RKO a couple times and let Orton win on a quick rollup..
Then I'd throw him in there with a guy like Nitro for a few weeks, I don't care what people say, Nitro is a heat machine.. then you have him move on take out of few usual suspects (Viscera?) and then you put him back with Orton..
Only this time I'd have Smith lose again and make a story out of it.. (remember Dreamer and Raven in ECW?).. Make Orton.. Harry Smith's Raven.. Then Smith fianlly gets a win over Orton and wins the intercontinental title in the process and away we go..
Bah ha.. No, that won't be necessary.. I'd rahter be in a room with Heyman and watch how his mind works then have to feed crap to the hollywood writers on RAW and SD! but oh well.. I'd take the job no question To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
I think they're going with the "Son of The Bulldog" thing with him.

^I thought the same thing. Or somethign to do with dealing with a retard haha.
Anyway, they should take it real slow. I wouldnt put any belt near him for atleast 6 months or so. Start him off beating some lower level guys. Eventually get him into a good feud with a solid upper midcarder. Then go from there...

On the one hand, he's a young guy with a lot of pure wrestling talent who should be able to make a star name out of his own ability. On the other hand, his is a huge legacy and may give him the boost that having talent alone won't. After all a lot of young guys come through WWE and pass straight on out the door without having that "hook" that say's this is me, this is my legacy, get behind me.
It's a shame that Teddy Hart is so unreliable and immature though. This would have been a great time to build toward DX against the Hart Foundation somewhere down the line, especially with WWE being very keen on Anvil's daughter Nettie as well.

That's an interesting point DK. I'd love to see a new Hart Foundation and Harry could be a part of it, with Teddy Hart if Teddy wasn't being such a prick..
.. or how about they reform the British Bulldogs with Smith and Burchill?
