Does anyone see a possible Cena/Swagger match sooner than later?
What i mean is they already had a match at the Draft Lottery special, and it wasn't just a normal match. It had a little build up to it. I'm sure that Creative did this for a reason. What that reason is, I have no idea; however, this is what I'm thinking.
Possible scenario:
-As we all know, Swagger was drafted to Raw.
-Rumor has it that with the Edge injury, Creative is going to throw the titles to Priceless.
-Swagger joins Legacy. (After looking at how Orton and Swagger shook hands, I'm kind of just pulling this out of my @$$). Swagger challenges Kingston for the US title at Night of Champions and wins. We would now have "The All-American American" as US Champion.
-At this point, Legacy has all of the titles. Orton seems to be busy with HHH (assuming that he beats Cena on Raw for the #1 contenders match), the next possible feud could be with Swagger. Cena could come out a couple of weeks after NOC and say that Swagger has no right to have the US title, that he (Cena) is a better American, blah blah blah.
What happens after that, I'm not so sure. If I think of something else, I'll be sure to post it.
Does anyone think this could work?

Re: Does anyone see a possible Cena/Swagger match sooner than later?
Presuming Cena stays out of the main event picture for a couple more months, I can see Swagger having a short feud with Cena. After all, who else is there for Cena to feud with? The Miz is already buried, he just ended the Big Show feud, MVP is still a face, Mark Henry is now a face and with Edge hurt, I can only assume that Rhodes and DiBiase will have to be pushed in the tag team division. So unless they want to push Cena against low card heels such as Chavo Guerrero or The Brian Kendrick, there isn't anyone else out there.
At the same time, I don't want them to feud. After the bury job to Miz, I'd hate to see another promising up-and-comer only end up looking worse after the feud ends. With the news of Triple H being behind Swagger's move to Raw, I would like to think that Swagger's status safety would be most important, but Raw has shown how little they care about grooming up-and-coming stars. There is a reason why Raw rapes the ECW and Smackdown roster every year in order to get new midcarders. ECW and SD creates midcarders, Raw doesn't.
As for Swagger joining the Legacy, no. I still don't get why people insists on adding non-second or third generation wrestlers to the group. It's a faction whose entire origin was to prove they were better than their family members and that they deserved to be treated different.

Match? Yeah. It's hardly a bold prediction. Everybody wrestles each other at some point. But I don't see a feud. Cena has done his mid card spot, he'll be main eventing shows after Summer Slam, before having his annual injury.

I dunno, does Miz still count as "buried" after their RAW match? He got in a hell of a lot of offence. I also think that although interacting with the top draw in the company obviously constitutes a push, WWE are much higher on Swagger than they are Miz. Swagger has the WWE look as well as great ability, and I can see Swagger going to the top. I think a feud with Cena would be perfect for him. I know that RAW is terrible at creating stars, but as a former ECW Champion, he is already half way there. He just needs some feuds with big names, and obviously needs to look good in them.
I wouldn't be against having him wrestle guys like MVP at first, just to establish himself on the brand, but a feud with John Cena would do him a lot of good. I think he'd be made to look great in a PPV match, although I am aware that I said the same about Miz.
Hell, if Trips was responsible for bringing him over, surely Trips would make him look good if they had an eventual encounter?
Which, if you read the spoilers for tomorrow nights RAW, you'll know he won't.
Sooner? No. Later? Possibly.
Oh come on, we all know it will be back to Orton/Triple H in no time. If Cena is inserted in the main event picture, it will only be as a way to drag out the longest feud in history.

I don't see why they would want to keep Cena out of the World Title picture longer. It would suprisingly just make people forget about him. I understand they don't have a lot of heels to compete for the world title at the moment. That's why I wish they would push people like The Brian Kendrick, and when he was on RAW, Matt Hardy, because it shouldn't just be Randy Orton, Show, and the Miz.

You honestly think people would forget about Cena because he feuds with a few midcarders?
3 years of solid pushing has meant that Cena will always be a credible challenger for the World Title, even if he has been out of the picture for a while.

Yeah but do you also think it would help people trying to get pushed. I'm beginning to hate Miz ever getting with a feud with Cena. He got put down hard. He looked weak. Granted he might get pushed afterwards, but it kind of killed Miz's character/push a bit. Cena wouldn't get any mid carders past the mark for the upper card spot because Cena's style is based off being the strong man. If any of the mid card heels could easily get a push from Cena. It would just damage Cena's gimmick. The Brian Kendrick or another heel mid/lower card would result in what happened to the Miz. It's best to slowly push them up the ladder. Put them against guys like Evan Bourne or Santino Marella.

Well I agree with that but that's a different question entirely. You seemed to be insinuating that it harms Cena having him out of the title picture. I agree that it is ill advised for wrestlers to get a match with Cena before they have even done anything on the brand. They should definitely be built up until they look credible, but you could also argue that looking good against Cena on PPV, even in defeat, would help that. I just don't get why the Miz was buried like he was at The Bash.
With Swagger I'm sure it would be different. WWE seem to value him very highly, and it is a different situation to that of the Miz. Admittedly he still hasn't done anything on RAW and rushing him into a match with Cena may not be the best way to go about the continuation of his push, but with Swagger we are talking about a former ECW champion rather than just somebody he used to be one half of a tag team in Miz. Swagger has had a lot more development as a singles wrestler and is therefore a lot more credible, especially considering his size and wrestling style.
Unlike Miz, Swagger would look like a genuine threat to Cena, and I think he would look very good in a match between them.
