ECW amongst the hardcore fans of wrestling (Not the weapon kind of hardcore) has been the show to rave about. The stories simple but effective, the wrestling always good at worst, and new talent getting the chance to shine.
What happened in the 15 man draft was the trigger being pulled on all the hard work. It was the pay of that ECW has been working for, as Bourne, Swagger, Henry and the Harts are now all ready for the main exposure roster. It was a beautiful thing. Thanks to ECW, Bourne can fill in the high flying excitment machine role on Raw, which Rey Mysterio never fit in over there, and Swagger the wrestling style theyve wanted to fill since angle.
What could be more beautiful than that I asked myself as I tuned into ECW to watch what is next for this super star building show. ECW has started again, three new wrestlers on the one night (Excluding the guy who jobbed to Shamus) who we now know will be built into the next superstars to be pushed to the main roster, probably by next year some time. (A total assumption)
Watching ECW made me think just how great that is. If I was a new wrestler I know where I would want to start.

Yeah ECW has worked very well. I don't see a whole lot in the batch brought up this week, with Recks or whatever his name is looking the most interesting. Washington seemed too nervous for my liking, and well, his scripted jokes were awful. Sheamus looked alright, though he's not the WWE type, and this Japanese guy won't get over any more than Tajiri ever did. Hopefully Kaval can get a start there, and Ryder can continue to grow because they're two who could be pretty big in the 'E.
It's turned out great because it's a way for a wrestler to work for WWE on a big stage without having the pressure of being on an "A" grade show. Like when Sheamus debuted, it was a low key debut, and it was able to ease him into being on global TV. Being on RAW however, there most likely would have been a massive fussed kicked up, and it puts more pressure on these guys to go out there and impress immediately. ECW is able to ease these guys into WWE life, and if they're lucky/good enough, they will eventually move onto bigger/better things (Swagger/Bourne).
What do you mean that these people are ready for the main-event? Just because they main event WWE's C show doesnt mean they are ready for main-eventing Raw or Smackdown.

ECW is a place for young talent and not so young talent to shine, however idk why they keep calling it ECW, it just isnt fitting for a show that has Regal, Benjamin, and Koslov to be named after a promotion from a Bingo hall with a feeling that will never be duplicated.
Because ECW was about these up and coming wrestling stars having hardcore matches........and cause they spent millions getting it back on to TV and a name change would be stupid.

The only problem I have with ECW is that its not entertaining at all. I mean it was very fun to watch at the beginning when they had the ECW vs Raw feud and they had all the original ECW talent. Back then it was 10x more fun to watch. The only reason I would watch ECW nowadays is for Christian and he really needs to get drafted if not confirmed yet.
