It seems to me that every time that Jeff hardy has a shot at greatness above everything he has already done, WWE finds a way to screw him over....If Jeff Hardy cursed in WWE, or will this make his third title run and nice long run?

Would you give a guy one wellness strike away from being fired the top belt in your company? Hardy failed the wellness test multiple times without being on the juice, no matter how popular you are that's a pretty big fail right there.

Hardy can remain insanely popular and over while chasing the belt/floating around the Main Event. He's reached a level where he doesn't need the belt to get over and is among one of the most popular full time faces in the company. Without the belt if Hardy fucks up it's just a matter of writing him out of the stories, with the belt and Hardy screwing up you risk having to completely change an advertised PPV World Title Defense Main Event.

The reason people like Cena, and Punk get pushed is because they are responsible and can be trusted to not only stay healthy, but not cause the WWE any public scrutiny or mess up major top drawing storylines by getting caught with drugs.

As said, he's not worth taking the chance on. He has been in a similar position before and blew it. I'd be majorly surprised if he gets a long title reign in the near future.

It's nothing to do with his wellness policy strikes.

He's not signed a new contract has he? Why would you give the belt to someone who could just walk away soon?

That's an issue as well. Being even under the assumption that he had signed a new contract, giving your belt to somebody on such a thin string isn't a very good idea. The champion is the face and selling point of the company (or in WWE's case brand.). You have to able to trust that your champion won't flake out.

I think they are smart enough to remember what happened the last time a champion's contract expiered. If he's not re-signing you have him drop the title before it expires, even if its on an episode of Raw.

With the amount he's getting paid while constantly fucking up, I'd hardly consider WWE screwing him over.

I think it has to do with Jeff being one of those old school faces that he's at his best when he is chasing the title, not necessarily as champion.

Meh... Guess the WWE just needs to be sure that

1) He re signs
2) He doesn't fuck up again for sure

Until them i can't really see them taking a full blown chance on him

WWE ruined Hardy's push when he became WWE champ and only kept it a month. When Hardy won the belt, there was an atmosphere of "he finally did it" but they completely took away his steam. Even when he won the WHC last night, it didn't feel as special as his first win. IMO he deserves a long title reign in the future, but I can see everyone's opinons on why he won't.
