| ECW vs. WWE Head-to-Head Reviews I'd like to have a nice discussion of this special that aired tonight if anyone watched. Here are some quick Pros and Cons from me for now.. Pros: - RVD/Cena was a very nice bout. Rey loses again, but it was entertaining. - Big Show jumping ship.. That was a nice surprise and I'm interested how they'll handle him in ECW. - Mick Foley promo was very intense. Good work on his part. Made a lot of valid points also. - Tazz/Lawler fight looked VERY real.. - Sabu/Cena was ehh.. - Angle/Orton promo was really good. Say what you want but Orton is a God on the mic and Angle in ECW is a match made in Heaven. Cons: - I didn't like the women's match.. Too short and didn't have much point to it. - I didn't like Dreamer/Edge.. Too much slopiness.. I hope the tag match at ONS2 is better then this.. All in all... a Very entertaining show. I give ECW vs. WWE : Head to Head... :ok: :ok: :ok: :ok: out of :ok: :ok: :ok: :ok: :ok: | |||||||||||||||

| This is awesome! Amazing show and yep gotta agree the first 2/3 shots Tazz and Lawler threw were straight up potatoes. Also Foley had funk hard-waying him to get the cut and swelling. I've got to be honest the Edge/Dreamer match kinda washed over me because I was too into listening to the verbal sparring of Taz and Lawler. Match quality was average as an overall with the RVD/Rey match being the stand-out match. It was also clever booking putting that up first as it set a mood for the crowd to go in time with. The other stand-out feature I take from the booking of the show is that for the most part is WWE 101* did not come into effect and match results for ONS for the title matches are not easy to call. I feel that rating the show is extremely difficult for booking it's a 5 but the opener aside match quality was fairly low. Overall I'm going to agree with Nicky.    out of      * Historical Note : For new members WWE Booking 101 refers to an old term used by Jimmy Van in that the night before a PPV the guy who gets beat down in the ring usually walks off with gold at the PPV | ||||||||||||||

| Yup.. gotta agree with you there. They didn't give away the outcomes of the matches. I swear, this is the best sell job of a PPV I've seen in a long time. Of course, they are also selling the relaunch of the ECW brand but this is everything Saturday Night's Main Event should have been for Wrestlemania 22. I was laughing my ass off at Joey Styles' comments about SD! Jerry Lawler seemed lost about the leprechaun thing and it's so awesome that Joey and Taz are allowed to piss on those angles and ideas.. If anyone was on the fence about ordering this PPV, the show must have sold them. I'm so intrigued on how this will all play out.. I think Heyman has big things for the Big Show. Smart move... But why is Orton on RAW? lol.. Not that I'll mind seeing him, he was gold last night, but that's one thing I didn't quite get.. SD! has nobody. | |||||||||||||||

| I'm downloading it now so i shall give a full opinion once i've watched it. But from the little clips i've seen on WWE.COM, Big Show to ECW is going to be very good to hopefully re-invent show into a credible big man which recently he has been. And why did Sabu v Cena end in a DQ when it was ECW Rules? | |||||||||||||||

| Bear in my mind, I dont really watch wrestling anymore... Pros: RVD/Rey was fucking awesome. However, seeing RVD on tv makes me regret not trying to talk to him when I saw him in Vegas. The Big Show swerve was unexpected and awesome. The Foley promo. How come Foley, Austin, and the Rock are the only wrestlers ever to be able to talk for 20 minutes straight without boring the crowd to death? Tazz and Lawler exchanging punches Tazz and Joey Styles commenting on how they "actually know the names of moves" and don't just "sit there telling stories while a match is going on" Cena's promo: Intense and entertaining. He's gonna be public enemy #1 on Sunday Cons: I actually thought Orton seemed really uncomfortable on the mic, and he seemed to stumble on his words a bunch. Surprising for a guy who's always been pretty good. Lawler on commentary...ugh Mickie James's semi-squash of Jazz. C'mon... Cena-Sabu wasn't exactly great. | |||||||||||||||

| Pros: Three ship jumpers in one night {Big Show, Steven Richards & Nunzio} RVD/Rey match and WWE finally having a crowd dive from the ring. The actual ECW entrance through the crowd was genius. Mick Foley still being able to produce a good promo. Taz/Lawler all night long especially during the diva match when Styles and Taz were mocking Lawler with the "Puppies" moments. Joey enjoying himself during the Taz/Lawler fight. Cons: Lack of fresh, unseen talent for ECW. Diva squash match. Sabu going the wrong way during his entrance. Randy Orton in general. | |||||||||||||||
