So, on Raw we got our first return hype video for Mr. Kennedy. It didn't say when he was returning, but it said "coming soon". The video was shown before the Kendrick/Carlito match up. After the Kendrick/Carlito match, Kendrick got on the mic and said that he was looking for a partner. There's not that many options for who his partner would be, so I thought of Kennedy, considering we just saw his hype video. Then, I went to wwe.com for Raw results, and it said this, "One Superstar who might be an ideal candidate for Kendrick is Mr. Kennedy, who will be making his return to Raw in the near future."
That is not how I invisioned Kennedy's return, and that's really not what I want to see. Kennedy established himself as a face before he got injured, and the guy got over. I know the main event scene for faces will be pretty crowded when Triple H and Shawn Michaels return, but I could honestly see Kennedy getting up there by the end of the year. The last thing I want to see is him getting stuck in a tag team with Kendrick. Kendrick is another wrestler who seems to get into situations, which prevents from getting a push (See his weed habits). But who knows, maybe if Kennedy shows he can stay healthy, this could end up doing wonders for him.
I was just wondering everyone's opinion on this. Am I over looking all of this, and do you think Kennedy won't even team up with Kendrick? Or, do you see Kennedy teaming up with Kendrick? Good idea or bad idea?

Yeah I think right now Kennedy has a lot to prove before he can think about getting a big push. The guy has got injured so much over the last few years that WWE are going to want to be sure they can rely on him to stay healthy before they give him a push. I don't think a tag team with Kendrick would be a terrible idea at all. Kendrick doing something would be ftw because I really had no hopes whatsoever when he was drafted to RAW, and it would be a good way to get Kennedy back into the swing of things and make sure he can avoid further injuries. They need to take it real slow with him.
I definitely don't think Kennedy could get "up there" by the end of the year as a face. Cena, Batista and Triple H will always be getting a lot of exposure, and then you have the returning Michaels. There is basically no room for another face up there for the foreseeable future. Personally I think being heel would be a lot better for Kennedy. Then he only has Orton and Show to contend with, and him and Matt Hardy can battle it out for the #3 heel spot. One of them would surely get a push at some point. I just think as a face he would be doomed to remain in midcard for a very long time, although as I said, he shouldn't be pushed too hard too soon anyway.
Plus he was always a lot better as a heel.

Kennedy/Kendrick team would be alright, better than nothing but the tag division gets about 5 minutes of air time a week so I'd rather see him in something more high profile. Plus the punnery of a Ken-named team would be too much to bare.
Fued with Matt Hardy FTW.

I reckon no matter what Kennedy does he's going to get airtime because he's entertaining. His mic work is fantastic and his presence is undeniable. Even being stuck in the tag division wouldn't hurt him that much, and would probably give him a great shot at staying uninjured for a longer amount of time. I'd be interested in seeing how the chemistry between Kendrick and Kennedy would work out, they could make quite a good team.
I would prefer him to come back as a heel, simply because I think he suits a heel character much more than a face character. As Ken said, his face runs have been plauged with injury and we can't really say that he's better as a heel or a face, but the way he holds himself is pure heel. He's a great heel and he'll get over quicker and rise through the Raw brand faster as a heel... Depending on how Triple H returns anyway.

How is Kendrick getting held back because of his weed habits. Wrestlers like Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy have gotten in trouble with weed and are main eventer?
Anyway, Kennedy does need to prove himself, because I would like to see him in the main event once more. But MVP is slowly taking that spot, so.

I don't think Kennedy is that good to be honest. He lacks a little charisma for his stupid ring announcing his name etc. In ring wise i'm unsure of his technical side and really not sure if he should come back at all. Teaming with Kendrick would be strange unless he is coming back as a heel. We shall see...
Wait... did somebody say he LACKS charisma? ... How does Kennedy lack charisma? If anything his charisma and mic skills are his best attributes...
As said, I'm very excited for his return and I am 99% sure he won't team with Kendrick.
Some people seem to think the only reason people think he's charismatic is that he says his name twice. Those people can't have seen much of his mic work, because in my opinion the guy is pretty great and undoubtedly one of the most charismatic wrestlers in WWE today. If he could stay healthy we'd be looking at almost the total package, although I do think he is far better as a heel for a few reasons. Firstly his character works better as a heel and he can show more charisma in that role, and secondly his moveset seems more suited to a heel wrestler to me. I love seeing Kennedy focus on body parts and show real aggression, ruthlessness and intensity in his matches. Obviously this is more fitting if he's a heel.
