The Shaman of Sexy seemed to be waaaaaaay over with the ladies last night. Guys like him because he's great in the ring. I don't think it'll be too much longer before he starts to get the Jeff Hardy "rock star" treatment.

He's similar in many ways (good gimmick, flashy moves, lots of charisma despite not having great mic skills) but as much as I like Hardy, the main reason he is so over is the stunts he has done over time. The whole "daredevil" gimmick is very appealing to a lot of people and makes his matches very exciting.
Morrison could get very over but I doubt he would ever reach Jeff Hardy level overness. Guys that over don't come along very often, especially if they don't have good mic skills. Jeff is pretty much one of a kind in that respect I'd say.
Don't know if you were insinuating that Morrison would reach that level of overness or not, apologies if you wern't.

I think he will. And then some. To me, I see Shawn Michaels, circa 1990 all over again. He's got the look, the in-ring skills, time will tell if he has the mic skills.

Jeff is the next big thing. Those other two cant even lace Jeff's boots. Jeff WILL be WHC after Judgement Day and reattain GOD HOOD in the WWE. He WILL re-sign his contract and get many many dominant world title reigns. Jeff WILL be the ONLY Hardy to be WHC. He will win 20+ world titles. Matt WILL NEVER EVER WIN the WHC. Matt will be gone from wrestling by 2010.
Since the draft, people have been very excited about the main event scene on Smackdown, mainly due to the fact that pretty much all the big stars are on RAW. John Cena, Batista and Triple H, the three most pushed and protected guys in the company (although protected to varying degrees) are all over on the "A Show", as is WWE legend Shawn Michaels. On Smackdown, the only real established main event face is The Undertaker, and he's gonna be out for a while apparently.
The door clearly seems open for somebody to get a big push and perhaps finally establish themselves as a permanent main eventer. The last time someone got a main event push than stuck (excluding Chris Jericho as he was a main eventer prior to his departure) was Edge in 2006. We've waited a long time for a new star, and it looks like the time is now.
The question I am asking is this: With all the talented young stars on Smackdown, who should be the man to get the nod and become a permanent fixture in the main event scene? Recent weeks have seen John Morrison become a main focus on the brand after seemingly becoming a face, while CM Punk is obviously Mr MITB and Jeff Hardy defeated Chris Jericho last night to continue his momentum. To me it seems obvious that one of these three will be the guy to get the nod, so who do you think it will be, and who do you want it to be?
The poll asks the question of who WILL get the push, but you can state in your post that somebody else should if you so wish.
*bangs head*
Is MVP on Smackdown? No? Then obviously he wouldn't be in the poll...
Morrison is getting over pretty quick and I could see him and Punk both getting big pushes in the coming year.

OK. Look everybody, Jeff Hardy himself now has an account at Wrestling Clique.
20+ title reigns, huh? Aim high, Jeffrey. Aim high.

Opps sorry. I should have read the first topic post instead of just the thread and poll title. As for the poll I'm not 100% on any of them. Jeff Hardy has the worst mic and wrestling skills in the business. CM Punk has a good fan base but he needs a really good storyline to go over. Morrison needs a good storyline as well.
I definitely agree that both Punk and Morrison need real feuds, especially Punk. It seems as if Punk hasn't had one real feud with the exception of his Morrison feud, which although was good was hardly anything special nor extremely personal.
