Definitely Morrison for me. I doubt that CM Punk will get the push considering that he had have had a world title run and fail.
However....
The Next BIG thing is Jack Swagger no doubt. they're gonna trade him and christian mid year to the major brands and Jack Swagger is gonna get one heck of a push. He resembles Brock Lesnar so much.
How exactly was Punk's world title run a fail? He had the second longest World Heavyweight title reigns since the start of 2008. He never actually got pinned to lose the title. And in terms of business, the WWE didn't drop in ratings while he was champion. The booking during the title run was weak, but you can't really blame Punk for that.

Well it was undoubtedly a horribly booked reign but the fact that they've given him the briefcase again this year shows that they see real potential in him.
As I said, even if he goes on to lose his shot, the MITB briefcase was used on him when they could have given it to anybody else, and I have no doubt that it will be used to get him over in the long term.

I picked John Morrison, he reminds me of Shawn Michaels in alot of ways. Morrison has a great amount of talent and charism, he's proved himself in tag team action, and now getting a push as a single competitor.
Same here.
Plus, JR seems to predict big things for Morrison this year, so how can you go wrong with that? To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Yeah, JR said Morrison would be main eventing PPV's within a year. That's a pretty bold statement from him.

I voted for Punk. He has tons of talent both in the ring and on the mic. It's just such a shame the way they booked all of Punk's title reigns including his Money In The Bank reign last year. Atleast so far this year, they've booked his MITB reign better than last year, not saying they're booking it great but it's better than last year's for sure. Like Tom said, he has the case this year so they must see alot of potential in him to be a big star. I mean they had him go over the world champion, Edge, two weeks ago on Smackdown with a clean pinfall, so in my book, that means something.
I'm a fan of John Morrison, I just feel kind of conflicted about what's going to happen with him in the future.

I see now on SD! John Morrison is being pushed as a face. I have heard that new stars are going to be made and it is possible that Morrison could be a WWE or World Champ in the future.
I went for Punk, but when I first clicked on the topic I was thinking Swagger as the next big thing.
I love watching Punk wrestle, he is a real talent. Him and Y2J moving to Smackdown may result in me watching Smackdown now considering its only Randy and a very few others left on Raw that I am interested in.
Not an established main eventer though. He's really no bigger than Punk. If anything Punk is bigger right now because he is likely to become Champion when he cashes in his briefcase. Jeff has a title shot but he is most likely a filler challenger for Edge.

I agree he's not an established main eventer, but I wouldn't say Punk is above him right now. I'd say they're about even. They're in very similar situations. Jeff won THE biggest prize the WWE has to offer, but lost it on his first defense, thanks to his brother. Punk cashed in on arguably the 2nd biggest prize, and is now holding the briefcase again.
Punk is almost guaranteed to be wearing World Championship gold again within the year. If Jeff's contract situation goes well, you can guaran-damn-tee he'll be wearing gold again this year, especially considering his company on SD.
I'd say they're pretty even, status-wise.
