I guess what I am asking is, are booked accomplishment such as title wins important to somebody's legacy? When you think of Taker when he retires, will you remember the streak more than anything? When you think of Flair, do you think of all the World Title Reigns?

Would you consider it disrespectful if Triple H were to outdo him? Would you be angry because Triple H isn't as good as Flair, or would you not care because at the end of the day booked accomplishments don't mean shit when we are talking about who is the best?

Booked accomplishments like the streak and number of title reigns are important because WWE makes them important by constantly putting them over. They also don't give these to just anyone, so I see them as a 'thank-you' from the WWE to the talent. For the record, HHH already has a booked accomplishment: 8 WWE title reigns, which is more than anyone else has had.

I'd be a little miffed if he broke 16, but I'd get over it.

It really wouldn't surprise me if he did. He still has a good 3-5 years, if not more left in him. I really can't see him not winning 4 more titles in that time. In very least, he is going to tie it.

On the same note, Kurt Angle probably will too, especially considering that unlike Triple H, Angle isn't personally driven towards respect for Flair. He probably doesn't care.

Anyways, it would be a real shame if anyone ever surpassed it. I'd be kind of ashamed of whoever did it and whatever company allowed him to do it. I'd get over it and watch the product anyways, though.

I wouldn't really care tbh. Flair Was A Great Wrestler but so is HHH. Also I think 16 world title reigns is to large of a number for any superstar (Even Flair).

Also With the Current Way Edge is being Booked i wouldn't be surprised if he went past it. He's up to 8 Title reigns and at the age of 35 (i think he's 35) He still has a good 5 - 10 years in him if he stays healthy.

I always thought that out of respect Hunter wouldn't surpass Flair
I agree with the above that he'd probably just tie it.
But you never know with H's ego he would probably get to 17 out of spite and then hang up the boots

The sad thing is that Flairs title reigns lasted a long period of time. At least one of Triple H's reigns lasted about an hour and a half. I dont really care though, I just shutter at the eventual conversation about it all.

It wouldn't bother me that much. Triple H is a great wrestler, i don't know really if anyone should have the belt that many times, but it's a hell of a stat. On the other hand there's always that question of whether he would have held it that many times if he wasn't married to the boss' daughter. Ric Flair did it and wasn't married to anyone's family members, promoters just had that much respect and confidence in him to carry their World Title and company. So in my opinion Flair's 16 will always mean more, but that being said i have no doubt that Triple H will tie it and more than likely surpass it.

Will he pass 16 title reigns, yes. Will I care, no. It isn't hard racking up the title reigns when you're boinking the bosses daughter.

It wouldn't be right for him to surpass Flair as pretty much everyone of Flair's wins were earned where HHH hasn't earned all of his and is doing it in a shorter amount of time.

If Triple H breaks the record, someone will come and break Triple H's record. Hell, Edge is halfway there and he won his first title three years ago. Edge probably has another good ten years in him.

I don't really give a hell, to be honest.
