A title reign should be atleast 3 months, anything less than that means you might as well not have held it. They definately should've given Jeff Hardy a longer title reign seeing as we all supposedly waited so long for that moment to happen. To have the title change 3 times in three months is crazy and in my opinion HHH will lose it to Orton at WM, so 4 in 4 months!!
Really, no "Triple H is going to squash Orton just like he does to everyone who starts to make it big"? Im impressed, but if Triple H does lose, it wont be clean and it wont be the only matche between Orton and himself.
But the title swapping, as Tom said, has pros and cons. But one pro I feel he left out was that it makes the title scene look more competitive. When you have CM Punk, Chris Jericho, John Cena, Batista, and RKO all champions in the last year and all on the same brand, it means you have all these top contenders and that anyone can win the title at any given time by hook or by crook, which makes PPVs more unpredictable.
I agree that a title reign needs to be done right and a few weren't. I don't mind the short reigns like Batistas because he's already credible. While Jeff needed to hold the belt longer, imo.

Triple H held it for quite a while last year too. Backlash to Armageddon. Orton held it for a long time considering he is heel too. Usually the faces get the long ones.
The main problem is that other than Cena/Tista/Trips, nobody gets a reign that is in any way meaningful. It is like it is just filler, then the title finds its way back to the eternal Champions.
Exactly, it's just a limited group of people who hand the belt to eachother, take it in turns and it's been that way for the past few years.
I agree there has been to many changes to many WHC AND WWEC changing hands a belt which needs changing hands is the united states Benjamin has had it for 2 long and is never defending it

seriously, Titles are NOT decorations. they have a purpose. Thank G** WWE is actually using them!!!!! look at TNA. ooh the legends champion, Booker T. What do you guys think of that? of course, a mere decoration for Booker, since hes not the TNA champ.
Bottom line, they might have changed a little fast, but hey we live in the fast world, we now change clothes everyday in stead of once a month.

That is a very good point. It should make the division look competitive when the title switches back and forth with a certain degree of regularity, but the problem is, DESPITE these frequent changes, Triple H still looks WAY better than anybody else on Smackdown. It is all down to the way the title changes are booked.

The division was competitive enough but none of the wins really meant anything and were all worthless and forgettable. Case in point, the Jericho-Batista switches.
