You can still have a main group of main eventers carrying the company and mix it up a bit. Give mid-carders a shot every now and then, utalize tag matches alot more, etc

I agree but when was the last time they pushed somebody to main event without them dropping right back down to midcard within a few months?

There's nothign wrong with dropping them back down to mid-card as long as it leads to a mid-card push. I assume you are refering to, say, Kendrick, in his case they just forgot about him and he went down to the low-card. Though to be fair he probably shouldn't have got caught doing dope then maybe he wouldn't have.

Well that is an example but I was more referring to guys like Punk and Jeff who were actually given the World Title even though WWE had no intention of making them a permanent main eventer, or even making them look like champion material.
Basically in that amount of time, there should be someone new who you can call a genuine main eventer. Not since Edge's push has this happened, which is why we still have a main event scene full of guys like Triple H and Undertaker.

I was talking more about mid-card guys mixing it up with the main eventers more than guys actually winning the title. But yeah point taken.
They don't actually do a terrible job of the midcard guys mixing it up. I still think it would be nice if they did it more, so we get Champions defending against a wider range of opponents, but at least we sometimes see midcard guys getting into title matches. I just wish they would do more one on one title matches with midcard guys, as a ''tester''. It doesn't mean they have to get pushed straight away, but they can take notes for the future.
In terms of the general topic of midcarders wrestling main eventers, I love the idea of a midcarder getting a couple of wins over a main event level star and the main eventer wondering if they can beat them (a la HHH/Shelton). The main problem as we all say time and time again is that the top stars are overprotected, so when midcarders do face them, they often don't look too good.
