You counter your own argument of it being ridiculous when you say wrestlers don't know when to stay away. Flair has done this before, as have many others. I fail to see anything even remotely ridiculous about Flair wrestling again.
You missed Wrestlemania 24 then?

Not just 24, the whole storyline leading all the way up to 24.
Exactly, and now people are acting like there would be no problem with a Flair ring return, or at least that it wouldn't be any different from returns of the past. Bullshit.

Ah, no. And before you mention it, I also did not miss RAW the following night. Still means absolutely jackshit. I hope he doesn't, but if he does, you most certainly will not be counting me among the surprised. Quite the contrary.

After a huge storyline leading to his retirement, a dream retirement match with HBK and a big retirement ceremony on the following RAW where the entire roster came out to the ramp and the whole arena were chanting "Thankyou Ric".
How does it mean jackshit?

Pretty much everybody talked about how that was the perfect sendoff for Flair after such an amazing career. It was clear by the way they spent months building up to it that the match represented the end for Flair. If you can't see how that return would be different from others then that is pretty laughable.

I think where all looking wayyy to much into this. I don't beleive Flair will ever wrestle again inside the United States, his career as a wrestler is over. Although, in saying that, the WWE I think are overpromoting his return as a "return to the ring", which is smart from a buisness perspective... I mean everyone would love to see Flair in trunks again (Not me though :P), so why not hint at it and bring people into the product.
To close out, I see Flair cutting a promo... and possibly bit more, hell they might even annouce whats going to go down at Wrestlemaina... or well hint at it.
I dont mind him coming back, as long as he doesnt wrestle. I really hope he comes back in a manager type role for Roourke at Mnania and nothing more and in the long term I think he would make a great General Manager, it beats doing a similar role in high schol gyms.
As long as it's just a promo, and maybe a corner man gig at 'Mania I don't see how it effects his send-off las year. I agree with Crocker here, although I don't want Flair back as GM at all. I would be more inclined to doubts his motives if he was going to be back in a full time capacity as non-wrestling talent.

Saying that a return by Flair wouldn't be different isn't really what's being debated here. What's being debated is whether Flair will return. None of us can say for certain whether Flair will return to in-ring action, but stating that Flair had the perfect send-off as the reason he won't be back is incredibly naive. Flair has returned from retirement before and if he wanted to return, I'm sure any promotion he approached would be happy to let him, because of his name and legacy. Sure, none of us would like it. We'd feel ripped off and cheated, and like he had cheapened his own career, and it would likely damage his legendary status slightly, but that doesn't mean it's an impossibility.
