This is going to be my weekly news round up for all you lovely people on the board.
This week i'm starting off easy and just 4 main stories from WWE & TNA.
Over the coming weeks this will grow and i'll try to include other promotions as well.

Here we go.

WWE.

Joey Styles To Miss Out On Wrestlemania.

Possibly the biggest news this week is the announcement that JR will commentate Wrestlemania for the Raw side instead of Joey Styles.
Both men were informed of the decision on Monday.
JR had originally believed he would be doing the Hall Of Fame Banquet on the Saturday but that has now gone to The King and JR has been placed on the Raw announce team for Wrestlemania.

Mikk’s Opinion: I believe this is a very bad move on the part of WWE. Joey Styles should have been given a part to play in Wrestlemania and what they should of done is had Styles maybe commentate the first half of the PPV and let JR call the last part, as they did at Wrestlemania 15 when Michael Cole replaced JR but JR still came out towards the end to commentate a few matches.

Hogan Teasing a Wrestlemania Appearance?

Recently on the Scott & Todd morning show in America, Hulk Hogan was the guest and commented about possibly being involved at Wrestlemania.
Already inducting Mean Gene, Hogan then went on to say that he would be taking his wrestling gear to Chicago and then we would just have to see.

Mikk’s Opinion: Hogan at Wrestlemania would obviously be good to see even though the older fans don’t like him as much any more, he’s still Hulk Hogan and he will always draw.

Anti Cena Signs Confiscated?

Before last weeks Raw taping in Memphis, various Anti Cena signs were confiscated from the fans in the arena. One sign however made it onto camera during Unlimited’s Kiss Cam segment. The feature was quickly stopped once this sign did appear.

Mikk’s Opinion: So what if there are Anti Cena signs, do they take away the Snitsky ones? I know Cena is the current draw for WWE but the fans have the right to boo and cheer for who they want and if they want to bring these signs to an event, let them.

WWE Removing Videos From YouTube.com.

WWE is forcefully trying to remove all licensed material from just about every where on the web. YouTube.com seems to be the current focus with most of the videos being removed although some still remain.

Mikk’s Opinion: Oh well.

TNA News.

Joe Stepping Up To The Heavyweight Division.

As some reports suggested a few weeks ago, it looks as if Joe is through with the X-Division for the time being and is moving up to the heavyweight ranks. This past week on Impact, Joe’s opponent was named for Lockdown and it turned out to be Sabu. This should be one of the contests of the evening as both will look to use anything that isn’t nailed down to finish off the other opponent.

Mikk’s Opinion: I think this is a very strong move from TNA. Pushing someone that isn’t a former WWE talent is a step in the right direction. Hopefully this will lead to Christian Cage v Joe for the title.

Christopher Daniels Lockdown Opponent Named.

From the Impact tapings this week, Christopher Daniels’ Lockdown opponent was revealed as being Jushin ’Thunder’ Liger. Liger’s last appearance in TNA was slightly disappointing in an outing against Samoa Joe at last years Bound For Glory. This match will also be for the X-Division title.

Mikk’s Opinion: Liger is a very respected name in the wrestling world but why isn’t TNA pushing there own talent? There is plenty of wrestlers there to have a crack at the X-Division belt other than someone else coming in from a different promotion.

Sabin Suffers Serious Concussion.

Chris Sabin spent over three hours in the emergency room this past Sunday after suffering extreme dizziness from a match the day before in Bristol, Conn. Sabin was diagnosed with a severe concussion and released. He is in Orlando today for the TNA iMPACT! tapings at Universal Studios, though still feeling a bit dizzy.
Sabin took 4 head shots during the match and collapsed backstage.

Mikk’s Opinion: This would be a serious blow if Sabin was out for a length of time, lets hope this doesn’t lead to another hitman situation and that Sabin isn’t forced to retire at such a young age.

Sting: Jarrett Not The Only One With Speed Dial.

A video interview with Sting has appeared on TNAWrestling.com in which he mentions the line “Jarrett isn’t the only one with speed dial” which has sent some people into a frenzy.
Many possible names are being thrown around as to who it could be that Sting has on speed dial. At Lockdown we will see if any of the rumours are true and who Sting brings in.

Mikk’s Opinion: Could this be a big swerve by TNA to bring in Goldberg? Obviously Dixie Carter has said they have not been in contact with Goldberg but could this all just be a big lie to keep him a secret? Or is It far more likely to be one of the TNA roster we haven’t seen in some time like Jeff Hardy.
Lockdown we will find out.

I'm not sure about Hogan being at WM. He told Bubba the Love Sponge that he would be leaving Chicago Sunday morning to go to a race with his son, meaning he won't be at WM. It doesn't really bother me though since I don't think he could contribute that much to the show.

What is up with WWE confiscating anti-Cena signs? Maybe they should try fixing his character since this will just piss fans off more. This makes me wish WWE were more like the old WCW where fans would actually litter the ring with beer cups and toilet paper when they hated something.

Wow, that is a really really really good thread.

I love the format and presentation, short and sweet with all the info you need.

I also think the story that sticks out is the Anti-Cena signs. That will just push those people to boo him even harder.

I really hope they dont have Sting speed dial Goldberg. That would be just so bad. I imagine it would be Nash. Who knows they will probably give Scott Hall chance number 542.
