While Jeff Jarrett is usually against adding any new championships to TNA, feeling the more there are, the value of them goes down, TNA has plans to add another singles sometime in the near future. It would likely be a title on the level of the WWE Intercontinental Championship as a number of wrestlers are squeezed out from winning gold if they aren't either main eventers, X Division wrestlers, tag team wrestlers, or Knockouts. In the past, there was talk of adding an X Division tag team title, but the idea was shot down.
Im usually against loads of titles, but there are just so many guys who dont seem to have anything to shoot for. The groundwork is all there with Matt Morgan, Abyss, Lance Rock, Jay Lethal, Scott Steiner, Rhino, Kip James, BG James, Eric Young & probably a few im forgetting about. Saying that, AJ should be the first champion if it happens. He can then pass it down to Lethal or something & let it go from there. I say Lethal because he is now above the X-Division imo but still below the Main Event. A micard title would be perfect for him to run with.

^^ Are you forgetting the amazing Jamie Noble/Regal program Steve? And I like the idea, though would prefer an X-Division tag titles, with MCMG in the picture, that could spawn some amazing matches.

I've long felt that TNA needed another title. The X-Division title used to be a title that I felt was on a par with the World title, but it's been mistreated of late. When it was Joe/Styles/Daniels it was a big deal, but now it's Bashir/Creed it doesn't have that big title feel. It's basically a glorified Crusierweight title now, which is a real shame.
As for the Regal/Noble fued, it seems to be slow-burning. It might eventually make it to a PPV, but I reckon they'll get one match at most and it'll be the fued finisher.
As I broke yesterday exclusively on my PWInsider.com Elite Audio Hotline, TNA will be introducing a fifth championship belt into the company shortly.
The belt, which will be introduced and held by Booker T, will be a "Legends championship" with the storyline being that Booker has brought it into the company, similar to Ted DiBiase's Million Dollar belt in the early 1990s WWF. Booker will then defend it against younger talents he feels he's above and other "Legends."
TNA took possession over the belt over the weekend during the Bound for Glory weekend in Chicago. It was designed by Rico Mann and built by Dave Millican and Reggie Parks.
