Apparently novels will include stories involving WWE superstars. The first novel goes on sale in May. - Jim Cornette is doing a seminar for wrestlers, managers and referees, on 5/6 in Marion, IN for the EWF. Those interested can email to cornetteclinic@ewfarena.com for more info. - ECW's Most Violent Matches holds the top spot for the Billboard charts top selling Sports DVDs for the week ending 3/11. Other pro wrestling titles in the Top 20, include: New Year's Revolution (No. 2), The Bret Hart Story (No. 5), Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior (No. 6), Tombstone: History of the Undertaker (No. 7), Wrestlemania 22 (No. 10), The Superstar Billy Graham Story (No. 18), and TNA's Bound for Glory (No. 20). - Even though Hulk Hogan is advertised as inducting "Mean" Gene Okerlund into the WWE Hall of Fame, Hogan claimed on Bubba the Love Sponge on 2/28 that he hasn't had contact any with the company for months. Hmmm. - Upcoming WWE DVD releases: No Way Out - 3/21, Hulk Hogan: The Ultimate Anthology - 4/4, Wrestlemania 22 on 5/16, Backlash on 5/30, The American Dream: The Dusty Rhodes Story and The World's Greatest Wrestling Managers both come out 6/6, Judgment Day '06 on 6/20, Vengeance - 7/2, ECW One Night Stand '06 and ECW's Most Violent Matches, volume II both come out 7/11, and The Great American Bash is scheduled for a 8/22 release. - The Amazing Red suffered another knee injury, and will miss several months of action. - The Fight Network approached Mike Tenay about doing English voice overs for Japanese matches, but TNA nixed the idea. - It appears Kendo Kashin was fired as a coach at the Inoki Dojo in Santa Monica, CA. - The Dragon Door promotion has changed names to Pro Wrestling El Dorado. information from the Wrestling Observer and Wrestling 365 newsletters were used in this report | |
