The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Mick Foley is apparently upset with his current announcing position on Smackdown! According to various sources, Foley is said to be pleased with the announcing job itself, but is becoming increasingly frustrated with Vince McMahon constantly screaming at him through his headphones during broadcasts. It is being reported that Foley is considering leaving the company if his current situation does not change or improve.
I would think that would be terribly annoying and distracting. Why doesn't Vince just do the announcing if he doesnt trust his people?

It sucks that Foley have to go through this shit with Vince shouting at him in his headphones. Is anyone gonna shout at Vince because he isn't doing something right? Let the commentators do their job when on the air, and let Vince shout at them at the end.

Mick does a great job and I was really pleased when he started announcing. Vince needs to calm the hell down. I would think WWE/Smackdown would lose more than Mick if he left.

The problem is that Vince is a perfectionist. He likes everything to be crisp and to flow well. Unfortunately that leads to him being very anal and very annoying. But hey, he signs the paychecks. So it's either go with the flow or go with the alternative. And I'm sure that Foley doesn't want to do that as it would include going back into the ring on a regular basis.
When I opened this thread, I thought I'd read about how Foley wants to get back to an active wrestler role, or at least on a part time basis.
The commentary I've heard from Foley I like thus far. But I have to admit, that would be a little annoying to have Vince's voice in your ear throughout the broadcast. Although, maybe he does it during breaks in the action?
