New TNA star Jay Reso, aka Christian Cage, may end up doing more for TNA than contributing to television ratings and pay-per-view buys. I've been told that Reso has been talking with Chris Jericho about TNA, and that for the first time, Jericho is expressing some interest in working for TNA. Jericho had stated previously that he would be "WWE for life" and that when he was ready to return to wrestling, he would do so with WWE. But since leaving the company in August, Jericho has enjoyed his time at home with his wife and young son, as well as the freedom to go to acting auditions in Los Angeles and work on projects with Fozzy. Jericho has saved his money and doesn't need to wrestle full-time, and that makes TNA an appealing place to work since it's close to home (he lives in Florida as does Reso), and he would only be required to work two or three dates a month. Plus given Jericho's name recognition, he could demand top dollar, which by TNA standards could be in the $2,500 to $5,000 range per taping. Jericho also owns the trademark on the "Chris Jericho" name and can use it wherever he wants, including in TNA.
Sting is still really popular, but Brandon is right. Jericho still has many years left in him and would be a much bigger draw for them.

Sting WAS more popular. Jericho would be a HUUUUUUUUUGE grab by TNA. Just about as big as it gets for them.
He would bring INSTANT credibility to a franchise that could use that one Main event WWE guy.
Christian was a sweet grab by TNA, but Jericho would be huge. He would blend in perfectly.
Its not like a guy like Kane or Big Show could really go over to TNA and be sucessful. Basically they would be TOO big. Imagine that.....too big to be in a promotion. But its accurate. They would instantly make their own guys look like jokes.
By bringing in guys the size of Jericho and Christian is exactly the direction they should go.
I think this would be the biggest aquisition by a wrestling company since Jericho went to the WWE.
