- The decision to move Triple H to SmackDown was actually made back around the time the deal with MyNetworkTV was reached. The network knew from the start that they would be marketing the show around The Undertaker and Triple H as the two biggest stars.
Right after WWE's European tour after WrestleMania, The Undertaker, Edge, Vickie Guerrero and Triple H were brought in to the studio to tape promos for MyNetworkTV. Triple H's promo had him spitting water into the camera saying, "You're watching Friday Night SmackDown right here on MyNetwork TV." The fact that Batista wasn't there for the promos shows that the decision was made that far back.
These promos will begin airing this fall. Only a few people knew of the promos and had to sign a non-disclosure agreement which expired on 6/24, because the info was released on 6/23. The actual filming was finished in April and the ads were completed in late May.

Looks like Undertaker will be staying on Smackdown. Which I'm glad that he will.

Re: News on Undertaker/HHH on Smackdown
Gotta admit that the way WWE have booked this year, I find it incomprehendible that they had this planning booked so far in advance when everything seems to be on a week2week on the fly basis this year.
I still wish they could of got it to move to Thursday. What is so good thursday nights on mynetwortv where smackdown couldnt be on?
My points exactly but they also should have moved to another network like NBC or Fox instead of Mynetwork cause alot of people don't have that network.
It has nothing to do with what is or isn't on MyNetwork TV on Thursdays. C'mon, guys.....Look what they're up against. NBC's comedy night with Earl, The Office, and 30 Rock....CBS has this little show called CSI. Maybe some of you have heard of it? Also Survivor. ABC throws Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy.
It's still all about ratings. And Smackdown would get fucking DESTROYED on Thursday's. This isn't 1998 anymore. The popularity isn't there. Certainly not enough to put it on the #1 night in television. Friday sucks, but Jesus....the answer to that riddle is NOT putting it on Thursday's. I'd put it on Wednesday and make it Live.

No dont take Wednesday!! I'm still hoping someone in TNA figures out it an easier night to get ratings on.

I think right now there's a toss up for the A-show. ECW not included though. Personally, I've always preferred SD over RAW. I think they did well for what they lacked compared to RAW.
