Why Steve Austin Was Backstage At RAW Last Week

Steve Austin was backstage at the 10/15 WWE SuperShow in Los Angeles. The WWE website even reported him as being there, but they pulled the message off of the front page when it became apparent that he wasn't going to be used on that night.

Austin showed up for the sole purpose of having a face-to-face meeting with Vince McMahon regarding possible plans for WrestleMania 23. At least at this point, Austin is adamant about not wrestling on the show, nor doing anything that could endanger his health. For the time being, it is unknown as to how he will be involved with the show - if he even will be in the first place.

Backstage at WrestleMania 22, Austin was on hand to simply induct Bret Hart into the WWE Hall of Fame. But at the last minute, they came up with several different angles for both him and Hart to do on the show. They turned down all requests.

So...Austin was there for Vince eh? Surprising enough, I wonder if Austin will work again, he clearly knows he is not in the best health and that is never a bad thing, fair dues to Austin.
