- As previoulsly reported, Vampiro's RXLL promotion will debut 9/4 on Televisa. Mike Johnson is reporting that AAA owner and promoter Antonio Pena has told all of his talent that they are not allowed to work for the promotion, and if they do, it will lead to their immediate termination. The announced line-up for the debut show is Vampiro vs. Sean Waltman, Ron Killings vs. Nosawa, and Lacey vs. Nick Grimes (Sara Del Ray under a mask).
- Antonio Inoki received heat for doing a public appearance on 8/21 in Communist North Korea.
- New Japan in Osaka on 9/24 is headlined by a Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Masahiro Chono match.
- The Great Muta defeated Tajiri via the moonsault press at Sunday's All Japan/Hiroshi Hase retirement in Tokyo.
- Speaking of All Japan, the promotion has booked a Triple Crown title match pitting Taiyo Kea vs. Minoru Suzuki on 9/3 in Sapporo, plus Taka Michinoku, RO' (ex-Rosey in WWE), D-Lo Brown, and Bull Buchanan vs. Taru, Kohei Suwama, Shuji Kondo, and Yasshi.
- Tom Howard is heading to New Japan in October with Yuji Nagata to form a tag team with Don Frye.
- Vader will wrestle at Makai Club Vader at the 9/3 Wrestleland show at Korakuen Hall in a six man tag team match.
