DARK MATCH:

* A-1 d. Ron 'The Truth' Killings (cheat to win)

A-1 said the fans and rapping had distracted him a few weeks ago and he wasn't going to let them happen again. Crowd was very hot for Truth and even chanted NEXT WORLD CHAMP at one point.

FIRST HOUR:

Jeff Jarrett opens the show with a promo of some sort. Sorry I don't remember it but I never pay attention to Jeff on TV +or+ in person. Best I can recall Cornette was the focus and he and Steiner were upset about the collusion between Sting, Cage and Cornette. Slick Johnson came out to tell them something and got attacked by Steiner.

OPENING MATCH:

* L.A.X. d. Chasyn Rance/Jerrell Clark (Mr. 630)

LAX was at least somewhat over in this match but they tried to heel it up and keep the crowd from getting behind them - still when your opponents are jobbers deluxe the result's obvious to everybody.

* Shane Douglas comes out

In the ring Shane promises that his newly Franchised tag team is going to the top, and that tonight they are going to defeat the foes who have plagued them in TNA since day one,Na and he took it upon himself to challenge AMW to a match. He used the word "Franchised" a helluva lot.

SECOND MATCH:

* The Naturals d. America's Most Wanted

How the mighty have fallen, they're on the losing streak from hell now. They got some measure of satisfaction afterwards when Jarrett & Steiner came down to beat up the babyfaces and AMW got their two cents in as well.

* Larry Zybysko comes out

He stands at the top of the ramp wearing a wig straight out of 3 Stooges. Zybysko says he just got off the phone with Cornette and as the head of the championship committee he has OR-DERS that he has to deliver and these OR-DERS will be followed or those who disobey these OR-DERS will be FI-RED. First order is that Steiner must meet Jim in the ring later tonight - the second order is Jarrett must leave the building IMMEDIATELY.

THIRD MATCH:

* X-Division 5-Way Title Shot (WINNER: WILLIAMS)

Contenders are Sonjay Dutt, Alex Shelley, Petey Williams, Jay Lethal and Frankie Kazarian. Petey Williams wins with the Canadian Destroyer but Jay Lethal gets a standing ovation and a "THANK YOU LETHAL" for his efforts in the ring after the match.

* Jim Cornette has a "Company Meeting" in the ring

All of the babyfaces and heels of the company line up on respective ramps. Cornette says at Hard Justice it will be a tag team 4-way which I just double checked and it's actually James Gang v. AMW v. Kazarian/Bentley v. Naturals. He also says that since Nash likes the X Division so much he and Paparazzi Productions will get to have a match next week on Impact against the X Div. Also he says it will be Runt v. Abyss at the PPV but it's Brother Runt's funeral. He also promises Joe v. Rhino v. Monty Brown in a Falls Count Anywhere at the PPV. Then he says everybody's dismissed which means "GET THE HELL OUT OF MY RING" except for Scott Steiner and Christian Cage. He then books a match for next week (second hour) between the two where they can beat the bloody hell out of each other and whoever survives will be the partner for their respective man (Cage for Sting, Steiner for Jarrett) at Hard Justice. Both Cage and Steiner cut promos, Steiner says Cage needs to go back to "Mexico North" and then apologizes to all the Mexicans. Cage tells him to get the marbles out of his mouth because nobody can understand a damn thing he says. Christian was very over w/ tonight's crowd.Cage leaves and gets slapped on the back by a fan in the crowd wearing a mask, which he tries to shrug off, but the fan actually grabs his shoulders and suddenly the two get into a brawl. The fan takes off the mask and reveals himself to be Jeff Jarrett and the two give Cage a 2-on-1 beatdown.

* Rhino comes to the ring for a promo

He says that since it's a falls count anywhere match he can gore or piledrive anybody in the ring anywhere he wants, including right through the Spanish Announce Table after he "crosses the border" and there's not a damn thing Konnan or LAX can do about it. He even starts to go backstage with a camera man to say he can get the pin out at the concession stand and out of our view Monty Brown jumps him. Brown comes to the ring and cuts a promo of his own and just as he's about to say he'll win with the POOOOOUNCE he gets cut off by the arrival of Samoa Joe. Joe attacks Brown, Rhino jumps in, and security rush the ring to hold all three back to the very vocal disapproval of the crowd who all chant to let them fight.

Somewhere in here AJ Styles and Daniels had a backstage vignette with AJ wearing a neck brace, Daniels telling AJ not to get worked up because he'd handle it, and Daniels says we took the best shot LAX had and we're still standing so NEXT WEEK he wants to take on Homicide one on one and just so he understands it won't be a 1-2-3 it will be a "187 +BITCH!+"

SECOND HOUR:

* The Paparazzi/Kevin Nash v. Jay Lethal, Chris Sabin & Sonjay Dutt

Kevin Nash was extremely over with the crowd despite Cornette promoing on him in the first hour that he was "too good" to come to the company meeting and running him down, saying he couldn't keep up with the fast moving X wrestlers. That proved to be true as the X stars get the ring, I believe it was Sabin who hit the Cradle Shock for the win.

* Homicide d. Christopher Daniels

Homicide gets the expected assistance of his friends in LAX so that he can cheat to win. AJ Styles comes out to make the save.

* Abyss (w/ Father James Mitchell) d. Shark Boy

This is pretty much the squash match you'd expect, complete with the crowd marking out for "DOOMS-DAY" thanks to Father Jim and Abyss obliged with the Black Hole Slam. Abyss and James start to leave but Brother Runt comes flying out of the heel entrance and crashes into Abyss. They brawl down to the ring, Runt hits him with an Acid Drop, and Abyss + Jim realize they're not getting the best of this and retreat. And for no reason up in the crowd Raven stands there and looks on w/ no explanation.

MAIN EVENT OF HOUR TWO:

* Christian Cage v. Scott Steiner (Big Poppa Pump)

Both got their full intro music and time to pose. Very back and forth match with more technical wrestling and less brawling than I expected - Steiner even hit a few nice moves like slams and a belly to belly suplex. We still razzed the hell out of Scotty with a "LI-VER EN-ZYMES" chant. Unfortunately the match ended in a DQ when Jeff Jarrett hit the ring to clobber Christian with the NWA world title, which was follwed up by a two-on-one beatdown. The crowd chanted for Sting, the lights went out, and Sting was in the ring wearing facepaint and a t-shirt. Sting makes the save, then Christian hands him the title and implies he's the man and the next champion, then offers a handshake. Sting accepts. They do the whole "I respect you man" bit to close out the show.

POST-SHOW MATCHES FOR EXPLOSION:

* Gail Kim v. Sirelda

The crowd was very into Kim as she would keep shaking her tight little booty for the fans, then when they popped she would call us all perverts. Sirelda looks really manly in person and got a lot of man's man chants and testosterone catcalls. Kim wins the match, I believe she cheated a bit.

* James Gang v. Bentley/Kazarian

James Gang won the match. Konnan cut a promo on them and said they're fighting for the right to face the champions while LAX like every other immigrant is already proving themselves by getting the title shot at the PPV itself. This leads to LAX jumping the James Gang in the ring for a post-match beatdown.
