Plans for Edge's return

For Smackdown, WrestleMania main event is currently Edge vs. Undertaker for the title. If Edge is back in time, the idea is he'll either beat Dave for the belt at Survivor Series or Armageddon, then hold it through Mania.

Unfortunatly a Taker vs. Edge match has come a year too late, unless they still go for strek vs. streak, as we've mentioned in another thread.

I'm not buying the whole streak vs streak idea cos technically he lost at this year's wrestlemania. Sure he didn't get pinned or submitted etc., but he didn't win, hence he lost. That's like saying the Dudleys and Hardys didn't lose at WM 19 or WM 2000 (or 16 or whatever it was called)

I'm sure that is all they need to have Edge spin it into an I've never been pinned at Wrestlemania. This kind of sucks because both guys are owed a long run with the title, but I say give Edge a shot one, give Taker a Huge one only to have him drop it back to Edge for a long run.

That's pretty much what Phantom said in the other thread he mentioned, but that WWE would put the "spin" on it

Well, I've been waiting for about 4-5 years to see Edge vs. Taker at Wrestlemania. I'm sure as you guys said, they'll spin some crap about Edge not being pinned, or not losing any one on one matches at Wrestlemania, or some shit like that. I doubt they'll ever end Taker's streak (and I personally don't want them to) but if they ever had to, it should be to Edge or Kane, and seeing as how Kane has lost to Undertaker pretty much every time they've wrestled, Edge is the only realistic choice. Having said that, plans could change, but regardless, Undertaker is likely to win this one.

^^^I just hope this tuime around if Edge gets the belt he actually pins somebody cleanly. I get the chicken shit heel character, and enjoy it, but if every friggin win is by cheating it gives his character zero cred. imo.

I hope for the feud they dig up some old Brood/Ministry footage. Maybe have Edge come up through the stage with the old brood entrance and talk shit saying he knows all about being theatrical, so the Undertaker doesn't scare him etc...

Edge was taken out of the match, that's why his streak is still alive. When Jeff did that leg drop thingy, they took Edge out (but left Jeff in).
