World Heavyweight Champion Edge has an undisclosed injury he isn't talking too much about, but is telling people it's not serious.
Apparently it happened at the SmackDown tapings in the segment with Kane. At this point, he's still on for the Great American Bash.
Mikk’s View: I’m glad to hear it isn’t serious as I doubt the Smackdown brand could take another injury loss, however, if it is something that could get worse, it could be an idea to put the belt on Kane for a bit until Edge fully heals.
Why Mysterio Was Pulled From GAB.

Vince made the decision last week to pull Rey Mysterio from his title match against Edge at the Great American Bash. Mysterio gave the indication that he wouldn't be ready by then and he is trying to push his return to August. However; he is currently under a lot of pressure by McMahon because SmackDown's roster is so thin.
Vince went ahead and replaced him with Kane as he feels fans would love to see him chase Edge for the World Title. The feud will probably continue for a few months.
It should be noted WWE expected Mysterio to be ready by the pay-per-view, as he is featured on the promotional poster.
Mikk’s View: I’m glad Mysterio isn’t coming back yet as it is giving some of the other people who have been over looked a chance to go for the title.
Jericho Return All But Confirmed.

The talk about Chris Jericho's gimmick change has now died down. A WWE staff member is saying that he has heard nothing ever since the first time he got the leak. It is said that Y2J being a babyface is better off than having a serious role which may be a potential heel. Even though the fact that Jericho will be back in the lineup will boost some ratings it will be better off him being a good guy. His return has been a long awaited one and it will definitely get the fans going at their shows. It is said that the time is here for people to forget about the tragic events of Chris Benoit's family and slowly move forward returning to normalcy.
Mikk’s View: It’s a shame he isn’t going to TNA as I feel there is more matches there for him and it would be nice to have seen some of the matches.
Kennedy denies taking steroids.

Ken Kennedy appeared on On The Record on Fox News earlier tonight. He appeared in the studio with Martha MacCallum, who was filling in for Greta Van Susteren, because he happened to be in the New York City area -- which is where the Fox News studios are located. Earlier in the night, he appeared at a WWE fan gathering at the Spotlight Live Club in New York City with some other WWE stars. Martha asked Kennedy if he uses steroids. He said that he does not use steroids. Kennedy said he has been drug tested five times since he joined WWE and has passed every single one. He also added that there was a steroid problem in WWE in the past, but there isn't one now. According to Kennedy, Chris Benoit probably took steroids the day he died, because he passed his last test in April. According to Kennedy, Eddie Guerrero and Brian Pillman died because of the lifestyle of the past and that it's not an issue now. He also said that only five people have died while being employed to WWE and that the rest were just on the "independent scene." Kennedy said he doesn't think the toxicology reports will provide any answers in the Benoit case.
Mikk’s View: Well its good to know that he doesn’t I suppose.
TNA Samoa Joe Turns Down 3 Year Deal To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Top TNA star Samoa Joe recently turned down a 3 year contract extension.
Mikk’s View: Hopefully he can resolve any problems with the management and get a new contract as TNA does need him and would be a massive loss should he go.
TNA Heading To Australia?
TNA Wrestling issued a mobile alert to its subscribers on Thursday that former World Wrestling All-Stars promoter Andrew McManus met with TNA officials recently to discuss the possibility of promoting TNA events in Australia. For those who may remember, McManus formed the WWA in early 2002 which featured a tour of Australia using former WCW and ECW names not picked up by WWE. The company also ran other events overseas, including a final event in May of 2003 that saw Jeff Jarrett defeat Sting to unify the NWA and WWA Championships (which was a solid PPV event that also featured Bret Hart and numerous other TNA stars).
Mikk’s View: Its fantastic TNA is branching out to different countries and hopefully this will lead to the long awaited TNA in the UK.
Banderas New Name

As noted on TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV, IWA Puerto Rico & former WSX star Ricky Banderas will be going by the name of Judas Mesias in TNA being managed by James Mitchell.
Mikk’s View: From what I’ve seen Banderas isn’t what I’d consider a typical monster, yes he is bulky but he isn’t the tallest I’ve seen. Hopefully he’ll match Abyss and we can see a good feud between them.

Former WCW/WWE superstar Scott Hall made is ring return last night at WWC's Aniversario 2007 show in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Hall lost a match to WWE superstar Carlito after WWC champion Apollo interfered on stopped Hall from doing his Razor's Edge finisher. Hall was said to look surprisingly in better shape than expected and worked the match pretty good as well.
Mikk’s View: Maybe if he is in good shape he could do what Nash is doing in TNA, maybe take someone under his wing and make them a big star.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com is reporting that Dustin 'Goldust' Rhodes is backstage at the TNA PPV in Orlando, Florida and is expected to start tonight with the company.
Mikk’s View: Hopefully he’s still as good as when I saw him wrestle Christopher Daniels in 1PW as he still had what it takes to entertain an audience.

1PW Main Event Announced For Invincible To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
1PW’s Board of Directors this morning officially made the announcement that 1PW’s next major live event, “Invincible”, to take place Saturday night, August 18 at 1PW’s famed home base of the Doncaster Dome in Doncaster, England, would be headlined by a Triple Threat Match featuring 1PW Champion Ulf Herman, “The Monster” Abyss, and SJK: Sterling James Keenan. However, this match is not without it’s share of stipulations as well as controversy.
We first saw a confrontation between these three competitors at night one of 1PW’s Know Your Enemy weekend this past June, where it was clear “The Monster” Abyss found himself torn between two very persuasive and very different methods of thought. Abyss was firstly approached by Ulf, who made it clear that Ulf and Abyss’ many violent hardcore wars against one another had only strengthened the level of respect The Hardcore German had for the mysterious monster. As Ulf extended his hand, and Abyss’ more humanistic and compassionate qualities seemed to come to the forefront, we were apparently moments away from not only Abyss’ first act of friendship and trust in a 1PW ring, but his first ever spoken words as well. Before that could happen, Abyss’ past caught up with him.
Sterling James Keenan, the man who had been aligned with Abyss since his 1PW debut, and led the Monster to become the first-ever 1PW Champion, may have had a slight falling out with his former “pet monster” late last year, but was quick to attempt to manipulate him into a reconciliation, promising the same success and championship glory that they had seen in the past. Sterling found temporary success in luring Abyss back under his control, however, during that night’s four-way championship match, SJK’s true motives were made clear, instructing Abyss to destroy Ulf with an illegal weapon, leaving the official no choice but to disqualify the Monster. Abyss, however, realized he had been betrayed, and retaliated on Sterling with a vicious Black Hole Slam, crushing Sterling’s championship hopes just as Sterling had done to him moments earlier.
We left that night unsure of Abyss’s true allegiance. Did the selfish deed of Sterling James Keenan break the manipulative spell he had placed on the Monster? Or was The Black Hole Slam to Sterling a mere moment of aggression and miscommunication able to be repaired in the future? And what of Abyss’ opinion of Ulf? Does Abyss have the capability to feel the mutual respect Ulf has shown him? Can Abyss recognize the effort, sacrifice, and desire that has pulled Ulf Herman through their violent wars and recognize him as his equal, or perhaps even his superior? Or is Abyss his own man, an un-caged animal content on championship gold all to himself?
1PW Champion Ulf Herman was also able to prevail over SJK on the second night of the Know Your Enemy cards. While Sterling tried to limit the natural brawler to a strictly in-ring wrestling contest, Ulf showed his versatility and was able to surprise not only his opponent, but many fans as well, by matching Sterling hold-for-hold en route to retaining his 1PW Title ( although we should point out that Ulf Herman gained the pin fall with a hand full of tights )
SJK was quick to protest, citing he TWICE should’ve been 1PW Champion this weekend. Sterling pled his case to management. His elimination on night #1 in the Fatal Four Way Title Match was a direct result of Abyss… who had already been eliminated from the match. Secondly, Sterling claimed himself to be the best WRESTLER in 1PW… not a brawler such as Abyss and Ulf, and despite night two of Know Your Enemy, Sterling insists that when left to straight-up wrestling, no one can compete with SJK and he is the rightful uncrowned champion. Sterling demanded a rematch with Ulf Herman for August 18, but 1PW General Manager Adam Curtis’ response to the demands wasn’t exactly what SJK had in mind.
Adam Curtis clearly still holds a grudge against Sterling James Keenan. SJK has repeatedly disrespected him, physically manhandled him, and above all else, Sterling just doesn’t fit the mould of the “company champion” that would conduct themselves as Mr. Curtis sees fit. With that in mind, and due to increased pressure from other 1PW Board members and 1PW Owner Steven Gauntley, Curtis agreed to insert Sterling James Keenan into the Invincible main event but under two very big conditions, which have been agreed by both Steven Gauntley and the 1PW Board.
Firstly, it would not be a one-on-one rematch with Ulf Herman, but rather a Triple Threat Match featuring Sterling James Keenan vs. 1PW Champion Ulf Herman vs. “The Monster” Abyss. After the instrumental part Abyss played at Know Your Enemy, coupled with Curtis’ general disdain for SJK and Ulf, it seems Curtis has placed Abyss in this match hoping The Monster will eliminate both of his problems.
Secondly and most importantly, Abyss IS challenging for the 1PW Title in this match, and can walk out of Invincible as champion. However, Adam Curtis has ruled that since Sterling has already been defeated in two championship matches, he must EARN a third.
Therefore, if Sterling is victorious on August 18, he will become the official #1 Contender to the 1PW crown. However, if Sterling is NOT successful, he will be ineligible to compete for the 1PW Title FOR ONE WHOLE YEAR . It is do or die for SJK on August 18, as either Adam Curtis’ plan to keep Sterling away from the 1PW Title will become a reality, or SJK will cement his spot as the premiere contender for 1PW’s ultimate prize.
However, with the unanswered questions of Ulf Herman, Sterling James Keenan, and Abyss’ bizarre triangle of respect and manipulation, coupled with Adam Curtis’ personal agenda to remove the 1PW Title for those he doesn’t feel are worthy of holding the prize, the Triple Threat main event at Invincible is perhaps the most pivotal and unpredictable main event in 1PW’s history. The ultimate power struggle has begun.
Who wants it most ?
Mikk’s View: This isn’t a very good main event as it only really has 1 outcome and that is SJK walking out the winner. I would of preferred Abyss vs. SJK as that really has been building for well over a year and that does need the match between them.
Hopefully I’ll be proved wrong and Ulf walks out as champion and we get Abyss vs. SJK at 2nd Anniversary.
