Current WWE Tag Team To Break Major Record This Week

Paul London & Brian Kendrick are celebrating their 294th day as WWE Tag Team Champions today. They have now tied for fourth ALL TIME in WWE tag team history in longevity with the British Bulldogs( 4/7/86-1/26/87) and Chief Jay Strongbow & Billy White Wolf (12/7/76-9/27/77).

They will pass both those teams and become the 4th longest reigning tag team champions in World Wrestling Entertainment history as of tomorrow. Not bad for a couple of cruiserweights.

Of course, they're the longest reigning Smackdown tag champs in history, but they still have some catching up to do to three World Tag Team Champs: Demolition still has the record at 478 days, Jimmy & Johnny Valiant are second at 370 days, and Toru Tanaka & Mr. Fuji are third at 337 days. And after today, London & Kendrick are #4.

Good for them, I like this team together. I never really thought they were together that long, seems like only 3 months ago that they won those belts.

Arent most tag teams on raw anyway? They are a very good team and two of my favourites but i dont think they defend them nearly enough, its not their fault as they are only cruisers and wwe dont usually put a lot of cruisers on tv every week.

Its a pair of C/W's the WWE seems to like shit shock horror.

I would love to see these to fued for the C/W title some where down the line.

Um, moving into third place isn't breaking a record. I'm not saying it isn't impressive, but "record" means the best or top.

September 12, 2007 would be a huge date for them since that would mark 479 days if they can hold the titles until then (which wouldn't be surprising since the only other teams on SmackDown are Regal/Taylor and Deuce/Domino).

Um, when a record has to be changed that counts as being broke. Wikipedia is wrong there as record means an achievment.

No record has changed though. Under your logic, Umaga just broke a record because he has held the IC Title for 20 days (passing Billy Gunn's longest reign of 19 days).

Like I said, this is impressive but they won't be breaking any records this week.

Yeah moving into thrid is the same as moving into 809th. Any time the title records need to be changed it counts as a record being broke. Just because its not the top spot doesnt mean it doesnt count.

But nothing is changing, the WWE Tag Team Titles and World Tag Team Titles are two seperate titles with two different title histories.

Nothing is happening here. They already have the top SD title spot, and even if they were the same it wouldn't matter since they aren't breaking any record.
