TNA star Kurt Angle is trying to talk Paul “Big Show” Wight into coming to TNA. After leaving WWE, Wight said that he was not ruling out a future in TNA, but first had to take some time off to recover from several nagging injuries as well as being run down from so much time on the road. If he was to end up in TNA he would have to come up with a different name since WCW owns the intellectual property rights to both Big Show and The Giant.
Paul Wight is said to be very good friends with Hulk Hogan and he says he wants to do what Hogan does. Hogan teased on Bubaa the Love Sponge radio show that he was going to start his own wrestling company and Big Show would be in it. Bubba then said it should also include Hall and Nash.
Since his WWE departure, Wight is said to be getting several major non-wrestling offers that he would probably accept before returning to the ring. He is also said to have lost 50 pounds since leaving and is training and more focused than he’s been in ten years. Wight is only 35 years old.
If he takes a couple of months off first i wouldent have a problem with it.
But I fear his body wouldent be able to handle it though.
I think people need to be educated to the fact that marijuana is not a drug. Marijuana is an herb and a flower. God put it here. If He put it here and He wants it to grow, what gives the government the right to say that God is wrong? Willie Nelson
He's training? I actually thought he was just taking time off to get his life together and take it easy for awhile.
I really wouldn't put my money on him comming back at all, and if he ever does I wouldn't say to TNA. Though ofcourse, it would be a HUGE bonus for TNA. No pun intended.
I think that he still owns the right to Big Show because a when he left I heard a rumor that WWE tried to buy the rights to his name and he would not agree to it.
I could be wrong.

Yes, I thought I heard that as well Dak. I thought WWE just recently offered him 250,000 for intellectual rights to his name but he turned them down. I'd actually like Show in TNA. He isn't the best wrestler, but for being 500 pounds, he's quite talented, he's good on the mic and he'll take bumps.

Re: Angle trying to get someone to sign with TNA
He seemed huge in WWE, in TnA he would look collosal!!
I can understand why they want him there, but honestly, what's he going to do for them?
From my point of view, he would
(a) just put a sucky match on a PPV
(b) I can't really see his name meaning any additional buy rates
(c) he's never pulled off any decent promos that I've seen
Other than "he's a WWE name" I really can't see how this would actually help TnA other than making them look even more like an organisation where guys go from WWE when they're broken down or fired (Christian apart).
Sorry guys, I hate Show (as a wrestler)....educate me a little and tell me what he brings to the table!!
Despite the fact, that Big Show was one of the industry's MVP's last year. He was THE reason to tune into ECW last year. Despite most the crap around him, he was always consistent and always on his game.
Yet, despite that, i don't think he is needed in TNA. He should persue his acting now, where he could do very well. He's definitely far more charismatic and a better actor than he is a wrestler. TNA once again already have the talent in it's roster.....focus on that i says to them.
I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.
Just like TNA favors some styles from past WWE superstars more than they did in WWE, I think that Show's style would contrast what TNA is all about. TNA is about innovation and action, and it seems the big men in TNA have to be mobile as well as powerful to really fit the mold. He has the power... just not the mobility. But if he slims down maybe he will have more of what he'd need to be succesful.
