Hall Of Fame Update, Candidates For 2008 Already Being Discussed *Spoilers*

Source: SEScoops

Quote:
Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler are confirmed for induction this year.

Larry Hennig, the father of "Mr. Perfect," will induct his son Curt Hennig.

The Wild Samoans (Afa and Sika) were asked to be in the hall of fame a few weeks back, as previously reported, and did agree.

Ric Flair is the leading candidate to be the headling act for the 2008 hall of fame.

I wonder if this means Flair is considering retiring anytime soon, guess we will have to see.

God, let's hope so Mikk.

I would still love to see him on TV each and every week, but 25-30 year old superstars shouldn't be losing to this guy period anymore except for the fluke win by Flair where he experience came in handy. He should be getting rare victories due to his age, but his legacy continues to get him over.

Again, I like Flair ALOT. But not as an active wrestler anymore.

It's about time......now bring on his next fued....

I'd like to see Flair in a coaching role for someone like Carlito or someone just coming onto the scene as they could greatly benefit from his experience and then maybe have him wrestle the odd match here and there.

Agreed.

Should John "Bradshaw" Layfield consider becoming an active wrestler again, I would peg Ric Flair as an absolutely amazing replacement. Actually, same would be true if the King were to step down on RAW, but I'd say Layfield would be much more likely between the two.

JBL wont be back as an active wrestler anytime soon he broke his back last year, and also he has another job as well as commentating these days

On the topic of JBL, i would really like for him to be the host of the Hall of Fame this year. One of the things i enjoy about his commentary and segments on wwe.com is his insightfulness and anecdotes (probably the incorrect word) about road stories and the past. Seems like a logical fit for the ceremony.
I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

I am looking forward the the Hall of Fame ceremony... But I can't go head over heels for this thing until I know that personal politics can be completely put to the wayside. Bret Hart was brought in and inducted as he should, but I think McMahon was planning on using him as storyline and that is the main reason. I'm afraid that guys like Macho Man, Sting, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, etc. may never be inducted because of their bad relationship or lack there of with Vince and the WWE. I know there are many deserving candidates...but you have to think that it is about time for Savage to get in.

Agreed, Savage should be in there. That guy was at the top of both companies for many years, and made Vince a tone of money.

This is a list of who should be inducted by now but haven't:

The Million Dollar Man
Randy Savage
Demolition
Owen Hart
Brian Pillman
The British Bulldog
Dynamite Kid
The Honky Tonk Man
Bob Backlund

Some of the listed should of been inducted a long time ago instead of some of these stupid Celebrity inductions we've had in the past few years.

And to be honest, Vince needs to suck up his feelings towards some people and get on with inducting them, who cares if they have a bad relationship, Vince or the wrestler should suck it up for one evening to actually showcase their achievements in the wrestling world.

Oh one last thing, why hasn't any of the Funk family been inducted, surely they would be on anyones list for induction.

Sting never competed in wwe so i dont think he would accept it. I know the wcw arguement but its the wwe hof nothing to do with wcw. Just think, in the future he will be in NWA hof instead.
