- According to Dave Meltzer, there will be eight participants in this year’s Wrestlemania Money in the Bank match.
- During Meltzer’s Wrestling Observer Live show Sunday night, a friend of Hulk Hogan’s called up to defend the Hulkster for not working with WWE for this year’s Wrestlemania. The caller claimed that WWE has cheated Hogan out of merchandise money by having his items come up as “WWE photo album” (and other variations) when people scanned the merchandise for purchase at retail stores.
- The direction of the Undertaker vs. Batista match has apparently changed. The original idea was for Batista to end the Undertaker’s Wrestlemania winning streak, but now, it appears more likely that the Undertaker will prevail at Wrestlemania 23.
- As things stand, Mick Foley is not planned to have a role at Wrestlemania. He had tried to get a match for the event, which would have made sense with his “The Hardcore Diaries” book coming out early next month.
Interesting if there will be 8 in the MITB even though there is only 6 people on the banner over at WWE.COM

All sounds pretty positive really. More in the MITB would be cool. Taker has to have one last run ....... Long term I would like Taker to retain and lose the title and his streak at next years Wrestlemania.
Good, with 8 people that means we might get. Booker T, Edge, Orton. CM Punk, Kennedy, Jeff Hardy, Chris Benoit or Sabu, and Hopefully Shelton Benjamin.
Honestly........I like Batista. I think he is a legit Main eventer and worthy of holding a top title, but someone would have to be REALLY special and more importantly young in order for Taker to lose that streak.
He should win every year at Mania bar none, unless it sets something up that could potentially benefit greatly from that streak. I mean I am talking some can't miss blue chipper or established young man that can assume "The Darkside". Perhaps steal Takers soul and shit like that.
Man, I could make the best storyline out of that.....
