Bret Hart Still Upset With WWE, WWE Interested In La Parka, International Stars
In a recent interview aired on Wednesday 21st of February on my local radio station Beat Fm Bret Hart stated his anger and upset at WWE’s failure to induct his late brother Owen into this years HOF. He said that their over looking of Owen was disrespectful to the Hart family to Owens fans and Owens wife.
WWE has interest in bringing in AAA's La Parka. However, the person currently under the La Parka garb isn't the same person that assumed the character in WCW in the late 90's, who was Adolfo Tapia. In 2004, Adolfo Tapia was forced to wrestle under the name L.A. Park, as the AAA promotion owns the rights to the gimmick and the name. L.A. Park currently wrestles for CMLL, AAA's rival promotion. The La Parka in AAA is usually denoted as La Parka, Jr. (even though he is only one year younger), La Parka (AAA) or La Parka (PAP). His real name is Jesús Alfonso Escoboza. He's also a bit smaller than the WCW version. The WCW version was 6-2 and 255 pounds. The one WWE is interested in is 6-0 and 215 pounds.
There is a movement in WWE to try to bring in more smaller, international stars to try to recreate the magic of Nitro in the mid-90s. They also want to get a jump on WSX and TNA, who both are pushing light heavyweights. They're interested in a few guys in Mexico, not to a mention a few guys in Japan. Other names discussed include Gedo and Jado.

Re: Bret Hart Still Upset With WWE, WWE Interested In La Parka, International Stars
I'm so bored with Bret now. God I loved the guy as a wrestler but I'm just fed up with the ten years of whining now, regardless of his rights in the original screwjob.
Of course, my answer to Bret there would be "They were desperate to induct you last year. They would have moved heaven and earth to get you inducted...as indeed they did. Are you telling me it didn't dawn on you for a split second to have them induct your brother (and maybe your ex brother in law Bulldog as well) at the same time. After all, Hogan had all his friends inducted alongside him that year. But no! Playing devils advocate Bret, did you think that maybe you didn't want to share the spotlight with them on your night?"
I may be way off base here, but I'm getting beyond being politically correct and sensible about Bret. I've heard it all for ten years and would rather he just faded away now rather than make me forget what a brilliant wrestler and promo he was by feeding me a constant diatribe of negativity for so many years.

Basically the past 10 years have been one big promo for him. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
But I agree with Tyler in many ways. I am tired fo the comlaining and I really don't care if he is upset with them again. It has no effect on what they are doing now and why should it?

He is right though, Owen deserves a spot in the HOF (more so than certain inductees from 2005 and 2006).
It's still possible Owen could get in this year.
Of course he is.........that's beside the point though. Yes there have been inductees that didn't deserve it as much as Owen, but similarly I don't hear him sticking his oar in for Flair or Savage, both of whom did way more in wrestling than Owen and neither of whom have been inducted yet.

Flair isn't in because he is still a full time wrestler, and it's well known that Savage/McMahon don't get along (especially with the rumors that Savage had sex with Stephanie when she was 14).
Re: Bret Hart Still Upset With WWE, WWE Interested In La Parka, International Stars
lol I never heard that about Savage and Stephanie. I wouldn't put it past that guy though.
I think it's more disrespectful that they continued the ppv after owen fell. I mean come on. As soon as that happened, they should have called it a night.
Re: Bret Hart Still Upset With WWE, WWE Interested In La Parka, International Stars
Isn't Owen's former wife against it though? I know she didn't allow them to use Owen in the Smackdown video games. Owen deserves the hall of fame on the basis of how good a wrestler he was.
Re: Bret Hart Still Upset With WWE, WWE Interested In La Parka, International Stars
I was thinking about that, it would be up to Owen's widow if he can be in or not. Things may have gotten better, but the last time I checked she was still upset at WWE for Owen's death.
