Norman Smiley was removed from the TNA website's roster page this past week. He was briefly removed but was then put back on, but hes gone again now.
Smiley will still probably be used every now and then, but on a per appearance basis in an enhancement role.
David Young, Elix Skipper & A1 already released in the last few days TNA appear to be cutting the roster down, Maybe to build up money for a certin ECW original?

I don't think it really has to do with saving money for someone. Smiley was rarely used anyways (I think he only appeared on iMPACT like 5 times total), and the others released were rarely used in the last 8 months or so also.
Norman Smiley was entertaining in WCW though. Wearing sports jerseys of the local team (like wearing a 49ers jersey at SuperBrawl in San Francisco) and being scared of everything (which was funny when he was defending the Hardcore Title).
Maybe to build up money for a certin ECW original?

I shan't miss any of the guys that have left, though obviously I take no glee in hearing of others misfortune in losing their jobs (he said patronisingly!!)
