Chris Cutrer sent the following....One of the extras on the Survivor Series 06 DVD is the main event from the first Survivor Series in 87 with Hulk Hogan/Bam Bam Bigelow/Don Muraco/Ken Patera/Paul Orndorff vs. Andre the Giant/One Man Gang/King Kong Bundy/Rick Rude/Butch Reed. During the match, Michael Cole (who handles commentary with JBL, replacing the original commentary) refers to the One Man Gang as "the late, great One Man Gang". Unless I missed something I'm sure that he is still among the living.
That is one hell of an error. Indeed, One Man Gang is alive and well, working as a prison security guard in the Southern United States. He's done several shoot interviews and convention appearances in recent years as well, so I am really surprised that error made it onto the DVD.
Candice Michelle has actually already done several photo shoots and is scheduled to appear at the MGM Grand Resort/Casino's Studio 54 on 1/9 for their industry night launch "Influence", so the autograph session noted yesterday won't be her first appearance before the public after her nose surgery.
Former WWF star Joanie Laurer was interviewed by Lifted Magazine, discussing her current sobriety, her wrestling career, religion and more. She noted that while she wouldn't do it again, wrestling for New Japan Pro Wrestling was one of her career highlights. You can read the entire interview by clicking here.
Today's edition of The Missoulian in Montana featured an article on WWE hopeful Shamus McCarthy, who's been training at WWE developmental territory Deep South Wrestling in hopes of snaring a developmental deal. It's a good insight into the process of a dreamer trying to earn what he wants in life that you can check out at this link.
The Miami Herald features details on WWE's AXXESS tour stop in Florida at this link. Interesting to note that the WWE-NBC Universal synergy will continue as fans will get a chance to audition for Sci Fi's "Who Wants To Be A Superhero?" reality series during the tour.
