I am deeply shocked by this news as it has pretty much come out of the blue.

Yes there had been the many rumors flying around about the bad financial situation 1PW was in but since they were booking shows up until march, i never saw this coming.

Sad to hear the end of a promising start up group. I liked the sound of what they were trying to do, maybe we've just been spoilt over here with the level of top talent from around the world we've had the last couple of years, or maybe without TV (real TV that is, not TWC) wrestling over here just can't operate very succesfully.

I agree as as well as 1PW shutting, a few weeks back {i think} the FWA Academy closed in Portsmouth and that is one of the finest wrestling training schools in the UK gone.



Good thing though is you now won't have to hear about 1PW from me anymore

That is some very sad news indeed. I'm not aware of any UK promotion that books the calibre of stars that 1PW did.

I can't help but think that the promotion would have done better if it weren't based primly in the North East. If it were based more southern... even the North West then maybe more people would have been aware of it and gone to see their shows. And with TNA coming to Bravo - if that was a hit, they could very well have picked up 1PW, which would have benefited from a wider target audience than TWC would have given them.

C'mon Mikk let's save out pennies and try and get a promotion together to fill 1PWs boots.

i think they should have done the ppv as a goodbye. rather than just stopping altogether with no prior notice. one last ppv for companys no matter how small would have got a lot of attention.

They couldn't of, it wasn't 1PW's decision to close, the suits got them closed and therefore 1PW would of had no money to pay anyone should they of put a last show on.

one show surley the wrestlers would work for free after all if it wasent for 1PW they would still be wrestling in someones back yard. if its out of their hands then its very unfortunate, but if its only the wage issue then maybe their better off finished as noone would help them out when they needed it.
